Same Sex Pairs

I love those ideas RatKing, especially the battleboost for pack leaders.

"So I personally don't think that same sex pairs should get any boosts that opposite sex pairs wouldn't get." -⌘Tallbarr⌘

I would love to see same sex pairs added to the game. Obviously they cannot produce puppies but everything else a heterosexual pair can do a same sex pair can do. The Wolvden universe isn't completely realistic either, so for things like adoption I am sure there could be work around for un-weaned puppies or they can be adopted once weaned.

I do not support giving either bonded pair an advantage or disadvantage. They should operate basically the same outside of reproduction.

Edit: I also love the battleboost for pack leaders suggested by RatKing. Honestly, I like a lot of the bonded pair boost suggestions but am not going to list them all.

I agree w/ not having it be exclusively for same-sex, which is why I said mine are not limited to same-sex pairs. I feel as if overall there was a system for pair bonding to include more boosts altogether there would be more reasoning other than people's pack lore for same-sex pairs or just in general having pair bonding be more wanted other than breeding purposes for males that are not the breeding male or in a pair.

Since there's only a limit of 2 breedings from a pair bonding per month I feel as if it was a hit or miss for having other males in the pack to breed. You'd only have one or two batches every month or whenever the cooldown ended which most wolves are starting to pass away if you been here since the open public release, and will not be here for a month longer or means you'll only get maybe 2-3 breedings from the pair bonding in their lifetime. (Doing the math in my head please correct me if I'm wrong of course.) Same-sex being 0 because they're not going to be able to produce pups.

Which is why I'm presenting as we need more reasonings why we want to pair bond wolves all together, either same-sex or not, outside of lore or breeding stance. Like I want to pair bond x and y because they're in the same hunting party and would boost the hunting party's synergy a bit. Or I want to pair bond scout 1 and scout 2 because theres a boost off of them both scouting or they can scout one area together for a chance at more amusement items/herbs and/or area discovered %. Or like how someone above said leaders can have their companion be pair bonded which would give battle boosting or more RNG luck.

I don't think the game needs to convince anyone to pair bond, it's just a feature for people who want it and if someone doesn't, there's no hsrm done. Actually now that I think about it, what if someone who wants lore feels pressured to pair bond everyone just to get the same boosts that others have? I'm not into the boost idea anymore

I support this idea! Personally, I have one same-sex pair in my pack and it would be great if I could pair them no matter both of them are females. I agree with pupsitter boost or meeting adolescents or pups in explore, but, honestly, I want this feature regardless if there'll be any boosts.

I love this idea!! I was disappointed when there weren't same-sex pairings even though I understand why there aren't since same-sex wolves can't breed. The idea someone brought up where same-sex couples can trigger adolescent or pups to appear as NBW is one I'm particularly fond of since I don't know about anyone else but my puppy slots are often nowhere near being full so being able to fill them with a happy little puppy den of all varieties would make me really happy! Also maybe they could get a mood boost from being around each other? Or they become stronger in battle because they want to see their other half again?

Agreed Pronghorn. At least allow it now and add benefits and stuff in a later update

Yeah. Having perks would be cool, but all in all I just want to be able to bond two male wolves and two females

I support this! Whether same-sex pairs will get a boost or not, I just want gay wolves
