Same Sex Pairs

I think it would be nice to allow same-sex pairings for lore purposes, that way they could be removed from the gene pool. (As in, for example, when scrolling through the breeding male list, a female that has a female partner won't show up just because she's in heat. That way, she isn't accidentally bred when the plan was to keep her with her lore partner.) I do think it would be cute.

But if it means the same-sex pairings are given a boost, then I would have to no support it. Same way males shouldn't be given any kind of performance boost because that would make them 'better' than females, same-sex pairings getting a boost would make them 'better' than opposite-sex pairings. They shouldn't be put above normal wolves in terms of efficiency. And you can act like they're 'adopting' pups already with the pupsitter feature, they don't need to do the role better than non-same-sex pairings. (I haven't paired any wolves yet, they are still able to have roles, right? If yes, then it's not like a same-sex pairing would be sitting around, being useless.)

If the boost part isn't added and it's just same-sex pairing for funsies, then I support.

It wasn't a double post so my question is back: what if the paired wolves are in different roles, such as one being a scout and the other an herbalist 

I think maybe the idea of them only being able to pupsit a small amount of pups (i.e, maybe 2-4) with less protection than official pupsitters, however not gaining exp or stats for it might be the best route to go for in case of instances like this! @🦔[Hedgie] Unspeakable

@#11137 I agree with you completely, which is why I included boosts for overall pairing in my comment, which aren't exclusive to same sex pairings of course! I just think overall boosts to pairings would prove beneficial so that same sex pairings could have some ground as functional as much as a regular breeding pair could be.

Same sex bonded pairs triggers adolescents/pups to be found in Explore as NBW's. A "adoptive" type situation, for example. 

I wholeheartedly support the same sex pair bonding even if we don’t get anything extra out of it. I was actually kinda sad at first when I read it was only male/female bonding but the mechanics for breeding make it super nice. I would support same sex all the same though, I want to be able to pair my lead wolf to his mate officially.
