" shes not gonna make the night if she doesnt eat" Z said  to the healer " you have to do something...."

then he looked at the pups and  had Adelite get onto her side so they could nurse 

"I've been trying to get her to eat something but she can't stomach it," the healer sighed. Adelite lifted her head, the first sign of strength in a while but her eyes were glassy with pain. "Get me Lust, Z. Please..." her voice cracked.

"yes dear" Z said with a huff as he stood back up and ran out of the den to search for Lust. He found her munching on a rabbit carcass " Lust... Adelite needs you, and quickly"

" Great.. whats she need " 

" Just.. come with me"

He led Lust to the den where Ad was and spoke " Honey.. Lust is here"

"Thank you dear," Adelite said, touching noses with him. "Can you give us a moment?" she said to Z and the healer, making sure the healer knew to take Z a good distance away.

Z yes dear" Z said walking off with the healer " What does Lust have anything to  do with all this?" he asked as they walked out of the den 

The healer shook their head. "I have no idea, I'm sorry."

Adelite tried to sit up the best she could. "Lust, I know we haven't always seen eye to eye but I need you to promise me something." She struggled to take a deep breath. "You need to promise me that you will look after Z. I'm not going to make it through this. I knew something was wrong a while ago and I just wished I prepared Z for my death. But all I can do know is have you promise me he won't turn turn his back on his pack and his pups. Please." She laid he head down, exhausted. "You are the next alpha. Z will be your beta."

Lust gasped " But Adelite... I... yes ma'am.. I will do as you wish. I will do all I can to keep the pups safe and the pack in order."

"Thank you, now take the pups out to the healer and have Z come in." she nuzzled each of the pups.

" Yes Ma'am" Lust said grabbing the three tint pups and walked out of the den 

" Z.... Your mate needs you now" she said walking up to the healer at the same time and set the three pups down

Z sighed and slowly walked back into the den " honey, you called ?"

“Come lay by me Z,” she said softly.
