" no it isnt.. and im not sure.. I can smell a  male though somewhere. so we better go to my place.. its much safer there." she paused for a second then continued " there is nots oof food to hunt and places to hide and rest if need be. " 

Adelite stared at Kassie apprehensively. If she could get some food out of the arrangement, she didn’t see too much wrong with it but she would stay on her guard.

Kassie sighed "trust me" she said walking beside Adelite. "You wont get harmed when im around"

Adelite walked along side the wolf, taking in the surroundings with blinking yellow eyes. “It is very pretty. I’ll give you that.”

""thanks" kassie said with a smile " ive called it home since my parents died a long time ago"

Adelite instantly thought of her own heritage which she knew little about but brushed the thought away. “Are there any other wolves that visit frequently?”

" not many.. but a few. " Kassie said " most was wiped out by the male that we smelled earlier."

They finally reached her territory and headed for the den " come on in.. its warm inside"

"Wiped out?" she asked but wasn't sure Kassie heard her. She followed her into the den warily, taking deep breaths to detect anything that was out of place.

" yeah.. killed.. but two other survived" Kass said going in after her and laying down " you should meet them.. they're around here somewhere"

“Are they loners too?” She asked, sitting down. She winced as a thorn in her paw so she used her teeth to remove it.
