Otherkin / therians / other-hearts

Hello everyone! I'm just another local Therian/otherkin, I've known about it for about 4 years now? It's how I got into Lioden in the first place hahah. I'm a dog, otter and dragon. Also I've been questioning some sort of lemur or monkey for a while now. 

My beliefs are somewhere between spiritual and psychological, I know some of my 'shift' symptoms are due to spiritual things but I also know some come as a psychological coping mechanism.  I practice energy working and divination while I'm a psychology major in college, go figure hahah. 

Anywho, I can't wait to talk to some fellow therians/otherkin/hearted people! I haven't been active in the community in years, mostly just keeping it as a personal practice. 

Hi! I clicked on this thread out of curiosity, I had never heard of Other-Hearted before, only Therians/otherkin but now that I've heard of being Other-Hearted, I believe that I am Dragon Hearted!

I'm so glad a thread like this can help you with that discovery Saa! I'm probably feline hearted myself ^_^

i will hesitantly drop myself in here... ive identified as therian/otherkin for 16 years and have never really had great experiences trying to get involved in the community lmao.

but hi! im a wolf therian and dragon, cu sith, and kyrkogrim otherkin :D ive identified as dragon basically from the start, with cu sith coming later and kyrkogrim coming later still. i identified as wolf from the start as well, but all the "of course youre a wolf honey :) everyone is a wolf" type stuff that at least used to be common put me down and i rejected that side of myself for way too long. but eventually i realized i didnt care lol and ive happily and proudly been wolf again since.

im both a psychological and a spiritual therian/kin, i fully believe in persistent souls and past lives. ive also had dreams and 'visions' for lack of a better word of past life memories! get phantom shifts sometimes, and like... sense shifts i guess? im not really up on terminology. i can definitely feel when the wolf ears kick in though lmao.

this thread is kinda inactive but idk if people might be interested in a discord server or something...? i would LOVE to talk to more therians and otherkin! im not... really comfortable with fictionkin though if thats a deal breaker for anyone, which is fine, but i just feel like i should put that out there from the start.

Hello! I am in several alterhuman discords but they're all fiction and voluntary inclusive. I'm sure there are therian specific ones??

Can I ask what a kirkogrim is?

I hope it's okay to track this thread. I'm not otherkin but have a deep fascination & respect for therians. I really wanted to be one when I was younger. ^^ Loved reading everyone's experiences.

Hey folks ! I'm Dante (they/them) and I've identified as therian/otherkin for about 8ish years? On and off as I've struggled with the online/social reception to it. I've gone through a lot of struggles pinning down my kintype over the years but being on more accepting spaces has reinvigorated my desire to really get to the bottom of it, so I'm really glad this page is here :) I'm always open and happy to chat about this topic with anyone ! It makes my heart warm and fuzzy. 

@Gryphon ive found one awhile back, but then someone in it flipped out on me for also being a furry, so i didnt stick around long... lmao. ive been debating making one myself but idk if id have the mental energy for it

and kyrkogrims are the 'church grim' spirit specifically found in scandinavian folklore!

@Rainwood that's ridiculous that someone got mad you were also a furry! I know tons of otherkin who are also furries - the furry fandom is a great way to express otherness imo. Anyway, I hope you feel welcome here! A Discord server would be really neat. I've set up a server before so I might be able to help if you wanted to do that, but I'm not like... very good with tech stuff overall so I don't know how much use I'd be aha. But if you decide to make one, if you wanted, I could link it in the first post here and maybe we could get a little community going! Actually, if you don't want to make one I might throw one together myself... the more I think about it the more I like the idea.

I'm curious, would anyone here be interested in me posting like... weekly questions about 'kin/'hearted stuff, just to spark discussion and give people a chance to share their experiences? Might be fun, but I won't do it if there's no interest (I don't want to spam up the thread). 

Oof @rainwood that's a pretty terrible experience. I'm sorry. I'm a fur too so that would be a major blow for me too!

@rook I can't say that I would keep up with answers every week, but it could be fun!

@mossfoot feel free to direct questions my way too. I used to help run a 'kin ask blog on the tumblr before I quit the site, and been in and around the community for a fair few years so I might be able to help too!
