Hello! Shapeshifter kin here ^_^ how y'all enjing the site? I'm so excited for it

yess! im so glad it opened i was um at 4am my time to sign in the moment the countdown hit 0

I didn't even realize it was open until I saw a bunch of people talking about it on one of my discord channels. I was so excited lol

i saw it in the recent bar and decided i might as well join in lol

hi there. im doctor. they/it/she pronouns. ive been awakened since i was very young, but didn't know about the terminology/community until around 2012. 

primarily, i'm a tanuki. my other half is a kitsune. we're shapeshifters and tricksters, first and foremost. i had my awakening from the movies pom poko and various kitsune representations in media, mostly yobi the five tailed fox. my other half, ironically, is also a five tailed fox/kitsune. me? i'm just a survivalist, a simple tanuki trying to get through every day. 

i've had many past lives. tanuki and kitsune are my primaries, perhaps the root of all my lives, but i also feel a deep connection with rodents, mustelids, wolves, and lions. my soul is rather old i think. this makes me sound very serious, but im rather lighthearted and carefree truthfully. but i can feel so many things.

i definitely was never meant to be a human. i experience forms of dysphoria/dysmorphia almost daily because of it. i yearn to belong, but its not here. i do not fully hate being a human, i am so happy for what its allowed me to learn. but i miss my true forms very much.

personally i deeply believe in reincarnation and that you will always find your loved ones in other lives. i hope when i die, i am reborn into a proper body with everyone i love.

sorry if i went too hard, its nice to see a place where i can talk about this. its been so long haha. thank you for your time everyone. ill definitely keep up with this thread.

hello gryphon, thank you very much. i'm not doing too badly! sorry if my post felt gloomy, i just needed to vent a little and thought some here might relate. anyways, i'm very pleased to meet a fellow shapeshifter!

It's all good, sometimes this stuff sounds so serious when it's just in text on a page. I miss being able to shapeshifter in the physical sense so much some times its almost painful. But other times I love being a human too. Mainly I just miss it being optional.
