The 1,000 SC cost is a big investment for such an unstable economy. Maybe it'll all make sense the more stable it becomes, but maybe it won't. Either way, 500 SC is still a big investment for a background, but much more reasonable, leaving you a little extra SC on the side in case you gotta buy some emergency care items for your wolves or something :o

Lowkey I think quite a few items in the raccoon's shop should be cut in half a lot of these items are priced the same as Lioden's which doesn't make all too much sense since the economy here and there are vastly different as here SC is very difficult to obtain especially in huge amounts meanwhile over there it's super easy to get in huge amounts 

I'd LOVE to buy the raccoon's backgrounds! I keep trying to, saving up SC, but I keep needing it for studding... I keep reaching around 500 before all my girls hit heat again, so 500 seems like a reasonable price!!

I support this. If I finally got the chance to save up 1000 SC, I wouldn't be wanting to spend it on a background/decoration. Especially with how the ratio from SC to GC is now, why would a background cost 10 GC unless it was a specialty background? A lot of prices seem a bit ridiculous in the shop, and it's a similar pattern on Lioden, hence why I never even bother buying anything from them-- or selling. But backgrounds right now feel scarce, so it would help boost the amount in game.

I see no point in supporting this idea especially bringing up SC:GC ratio comparison because the idea seems to be indirectly accomplished.

The idea was introduced on 2020-11-08 and its author suggested to drop SC prices for background from 1000 SC to 500-750 SC. That day, GC was traded for 71-83 SC each. Today, GC is traded for 102-140 SC. So we can say that SC price has increased by ~50% (this increase could be provided from fishing and enclave, which weren't available that day) or SC value has decreased by ~33% .

Thus the price we pay for backgrounds, which is 1000 SC, has the value of ~670 SC from that day, which meets the author's request.
