Allow wolves in the pack's dynasty to be made immortal?

Posted 2020-12-19 07:12:54

Support! Leads and breeding males are often significant wolves (mine are my first two wolves, until they die of old age) and being able to make them immortal from the dynasty adds a huge draw to the immortality capability.

Speaking of my own pack, I can't see any other way I'd use immortality than to make my first two wolves immortal.

Seconding this hardcore! It's really saddening to have to kill your lead off :c I would loooove to make a new wolf my lead, but I have an interactive lore & RPing system that I don't want to lose with my current lead.

I didn't even realize you couldn't! I bought the slot and the jellyfish and then realized I didn't know if I was supposed to use the jellyfish first before retiring your lead or how the order of operations worked,  only to find out you can't immortalize a wolf once they've become lead at all.

My full support! It's not like I want to immortalize every one of my wolves that will be lead, but my first one? First wolf on wolvden ever that I've spent hecka bucks on? Yes. Yes please. It's weird to me that this isn't already a thing.

I also wanted to keep my lead around (for both lore and for sentimental purposes) because he’s my very first wolf and I’m so disappointed that I can’t.

Full support!

Full support … I'm a brand new player who was going to buy some GC to make my alpha immortal, but if that's impossible, knowing she will inevitably die would make it much harder to invest in her, emotionally and materially, especially since I want the whole lore of the pack to be based around her.

I don't object to a wolf becoming unable to breed, hunt, etc after losing alpha status and becoming immortal. All I want, for sentimental and storytelling reasons, is to have her around to advise her successors.

Same than above. My leader is an OC for whom I was willing to put pretty penny into customizing...until I learned this.

I used to play Lioden a few years ago, and I remember that, at least, when you retired your breeding male you had the chance to pick passing all of his markings down to the next lead. This was a good justification to invest into customizing them, because at least you were able to keep their looks vs what happens here now.

Yes please. I don’t know why the site made it impossible to make your Lead immortal when it’s your first wolf.

Yes please! There is no use for immortal wolves so we wouldn't be gaining anything by making former leads immortal - I want this very much! Support!

I was actually only going to use an immortal slot for my lead, and learning this just now was super upsetting. My lead wolf is kinda... my whole username and den theme, and from the start of early access I was expecting to be able to make her immortal at some point.

Plus I'm stupidly happy about her ID, as well.
