What if instead of affecting energy, mentoring pups or training them would affect mood? It would certainly solve the energy problem. Also, wolves could mentor those of other personalities but since some clash, they would either have a lower % of experience or a higher drop in mood. Not sure, just some thoughts that could balance things out. A new role would be difficult to add, unless it was extremely limited, so I'm not sure if a mentor role would show up eventually.

@Kana: the staff have any game mechanic that boosts mood (other than items) on the auto-reject list in the Game Development Forum Guidelines.

@QueenOfFrowns; Sorry if it sounded like that! It's not meant as a mood boost. Mood decrease would be the only thing affected, not a boost. So for example if a wolf is mentoring a wolf, depending on their personalities, there would either be a certain % of mood drop or none at all(aside from what happens at RO). Does that clarify it?
