[ADDED!] Multiple party hunting suggestion

Big support,

but damn why are the numbers so high lmao.

I find that the more wolves you have in your pack, the more Wolvden becomes very... pay-to-win. It's just not viable to expect someone to sit around all day long and send out hunts on time, send out scouts on time, and explore whenever they have 100% energy. IDK, but to me, setting the bar so high just means that those who pay money in this game to have so many wolves are the only ones who will benefit from this feature.

Don't get me wrong, though. I would 100% like to be able to send multiple hunting parties out at once, and maybe being able to do so would make it less pay-to-win to take care of so many wolves, but make it available to people who aren't at that level of the game yet and can't care for that many wolves without dumping money into the game.

Start the ability to send out 2 hunting parties at 25 or 30 wolves, and then so on and so forth, just so the smaller guys could at least benefit from this a little before they have to obtain a shit ton of wolves to really benefit.

Thanks for reading.

EDIT: I very much liked this post's breakdown of which points to allow multiple teams (I think it's more user-friendly for those of us who don't have big packs)

and as Websteak said in their post, queuing up hunts would be really dope and hella useful as well! :o

Yeah I am strongly opposed to the gatekeeping on when multiple parties can/should be sent out.

If that turns out to be unbalanced, it can be throttled, but in the meantime, it should not only benefit paying and/or always-online players.

Like I said before, soft caps that are already in place do the heavy lifting there.

Makes sense both from an RP perspective (less wolves sitting around constantly) and as a quality of life feature. Big support

I definitely support this, it would be great for the really large packs that currently struggle to feed all their wolves just sending out 1 party at a time - it feels a bit strange to me considering that you can have up to 200 wolves and still only send out 5 to hunt at once. I wouldn't mind it being linked either to the number of adult wolves or the territory slots, as have both been suggested.

I really wish this would be implemented in some way soon. I have gotten to the point where I move back to an easy biome right before every winter just to be able to feed my pack. Even there and finding large trails I can barely feed them. I literally log on to send hunts out most of the day, but it's never enough. I love this game, but this is really frustrating. I was buying food before, but the cost of it is so high now. I guess it's time to chase of bunch of wolves that I love again.

I think the number of slots should be a bit less than what listed because parties only need five wolves to hunt.

Parties only need 5 wolves to hunt, yes, but the more wolves you have the more hunts you need to send out in a day to feed them. I need to send out a min of 20 hunts a day to sutainably feed my pack and I am scared to sell food because in Winter I will need it (currently transitioning from a starter biome to the prairie, so food is scarce for me). If I could send out two hunts at the same as one (I fall into the 50-99 slots category with 70+ adult wolves and several adols at any given time), it would be easier to keep up with that demmand of food in winter. I would also be able to use wolves I have sitting around doing nothing whilst I wait for wolves to die or get old be able to get hunts in and train them up to take over from their predecessors.

Support, but I feel like I need to put the cost of territory into perspective for some people.
This is copy-pasted from one of my older posts, but it's still very important:

Is costs 31,855 SC to get to 50 territory.

It costs 851 GC to get from 51 to 200 territory.

I know there are discounts for buying a lot of GC, but if you can't afford to splash out $175 at once, at the base price of 0.25 per GC that would cost you over $200. Not only that, but if you're struggling to feed your wolves already, SC is going to be hard to come by.

No feature should be 100% pay to win, but I feel like locking this one behind a massive GC paywall is way worse that just being able to buy extra hunting slots (up to 4) for GC once you hit the limit for purchasing territory in SC. First extra one could be cheap/free, because feeding 50 wolves is difficult enough, without taking into account that someone with 50 territory could also have 50+ puppies. The rest can be at whatever price staff seems fair.

Thank you for breaking it down like that!

I don't agree, however, with paying premium currency to unlock a simple quality of life feature. Running multiple hunts at once-- it doesn't make sense to gatekeep it. The ten hunt limit already throttles things enough. If you have that many wolves that you can send out three parties at a time, there's not really any good reason that you can't just do that.

Between customizer and everything else, especially with the current Event incentivizing big spenders to spend, there are no end of money sinks on the game. There doesn't need to be another one.

@DogBlud- I should have clarified that I'd much prefer lowering the territory number you would get the simultaneous hunts at. Say 30 for two, 51 for three, and all four unlocks at 100 territory? Or even every 40 territory if it absolutely needs to be harder/cost more. With pups you'd still probably have to buy food if you kept close to 200 adult wolves at a time, whether you could do four hunts simultaneously or not.

I just really wanted to show that you'd be spending hundreds of dollars or countless hours to get to 200 territory, so it's locked behind a paywall no matter how you spin it. It's a case of the picking the least bad option. Get the extra hunts feature for "free" but you have to spend $200 worth of premium  currency to get all four, OR get two hunts at a time for grinding SC to 50 territory, and unlock another two for a GC fee whenever you feel like you need it. I felt like the second option allowed for more flexibility, especially if everyone was dead-set on only unlocking all four at maximum territory space. Plus it would cost significantly less, unless staff decided to price each unlock at a ridiculous 500GC each.
