Does splitting up in the Coigreach have a POSITIVE or a NEGATIVE effect?

I'm kinda stuck on the story part today. I have done this story quite a bit of times, but I always go for roughly the same options. This time, however, I wanted to try something new to maybe get a different ending.
However, I am one of those people that just can't stand to get negative endings, because I'll feel guilty if I make anything happen to this lovely pack ;w;

So, I ask of you, in hopes of getting the most spoiler free answer(s) possible;
If I choose to split up with Sirona, will anything bad happen, or will something good happen? I know I can't have a do-over until next year, so I would much rather not have anything bad happen on my watch ;w;
I don't care much about the rewards.

I split up with her - you'll have to destroy 10 herb patches in explore. When you get back, you find out that she lied and didn't destroy them. The Faelcu will attack her, but Quany will defend her and sacrifice his life to make them leave. He goes with the Faelcu willingly and you go back home.

(also, what happens if you don't split up? I wanna hear it!)

Both endings can be seen in this guide if anyone wants to see all the text/images. Split up path at the end of page 2, stick together path starts on page 3.

They both seem kind of bad to me, just "Split up" is bad for wolves we know, while "Stick together" is bad for the nameless wolf packs in the surrounding area. Classic trolley problem except you don't know the consequences until you make your choice.
