Fix her up 💀

Fix her up 💀

I joined very long ago but stopped playing for years. I suddenly want to get back into playing and I know how to play and navigate daily just but I'm overwhelmed economy wise. I want to be a hardcore player but I'm a little lost on what things go for now and how to achieve some moderately sought after things without spending my whole entire wallet. I would also really appreciate if I could get some help filtering through my den. What's worth keeping (and why), what I can clear out, who I could potentially breed (and why) etc. etc.

That's all I can think of to ask as of now and hopefully this should be enough to get me kickstartd for a bit especially as more questions come up naturally during conversation

The value of a wolf is mostly determined by generation, base tier, and number of markings (and type). New eyes can also be valuable, but aren't as impactful imo. The most valuable wolves are T3 or T* bases, and muties such as albino, mela, piebald, etc.

As for your den, try to keep low gen T2, T3, or T* wolves. Anything past Gen 4 is considered high gen. Inbred wolves are significantly harder to sell and typically makes a wolf lose their value, the only exception being lethal muties that cannot be bred. Unfortunately in the current market, every pup that isn't T3, T*, mutie, or very high stat is sold for fodder price (10-20SC).

I've put together what wolves of yours are valuable/not valuable in the spoiler below, with the nots listed as SELL and the yes listed as KEEP. I'm not trying to be harsh, just realistic to the current markets! We've all been there
Saga | T1 G8 3m - SELL
  • T1 base, long gen, few markings
Haakon | T2 G4 6m - SELL
  • base/gen/markings aren't bad, but he is a male which lowers his value. He is old now anyways so I wouldnt stress about selling him!
Stalker | T2 G8 3m | 1xIB - SELL
  • long gen, few markings, inbred
Cashew | T1 G6 5m - SELL
  • T1 base, long gen, male
Blaze | T1 G2 6m - NEUTRAL
  • T1 base but low gen and decent number of marks
Nano | T1 G21 5m | 1xIB - SELL
  • T1 base, very long gen, inbred
Chaser | T1 G12 5m - SELL
  • T1 base, long gen, male
Laundry | T1 G9 3m - SELL
  • T1 base, long gen, few markings
Miske | T1 G2 5m - SELL
  • T1 base, comming markings. This is your current breeding male so you can't sell him, but just for reference!
Scrow | T1 G11 4m - SELL
  • T1 base, long gen, few markings
Jedi | T1 G7 6m | Piebald Torn - SELL
  • T1 base, long gen, male. the Piebald Torn gives it more value, but unfortunately not much because of everything else
Pewter | T2 G7 6m - SELL
  • long gen
Klondike | T3 Badger G9 2m | 14xIB - SELL
  • long gen, few markings, very inbred. Badger gives more value, but the rest cancels it out
Alaska | T1 G6 3m | Piebald Uneven - SELL
  • T1 base, long gen, few markings, male. Piebald gives more value, but isn't worth a ton.
Dino | T2 G9 4m - SELL
  • long gen, few markings, low stats
Tree | T2 G2 6m - KEEP
  • keeper! T2, low gen, decent markings. downside is that he is male
Whisper | T2 G5 8m - SELL
  • long gen, male.
Onyx | T2 G4 8m - KEEP
  • decent keeper! T2, low ish gen, lots of markings, female. Pups would not be valuable.
Saskatchewan | T1 G6 5m | 2xIB - SELL
  • T1 base, long gen, inbred.
F | T1 G18 4m | 10xIB - SELL
  • T1 base, long gen, few markings, inbred.
Yondu | T1 G18 4m | 10xIB - SELL
  • T1 base, long gen, few markings, inbred.
Galena | T2 G10 4m | Piebald Uneven - SELL
  • long gen, few markings, low stats. Piebald gives some value, but its lost because of long gen
C | T1 G14 7m - SELL
  • T1 base, long gen.
Cami | T1 G6 5m - SELL
  • T1 base, long gen
North Star | T1 G7 5m | 5xIB - SELL
  • T1 base, long gen, inbred
Sunsettia | T1 G5 3m - SELL
  • T1 base, long gen, few markings
wraith | T2 G4 4m - NEUTRAL
  • decent details, but low gen & male. Wouldnt hurt to keep, but any pups wouldn't be very valuable.

I hope that helps a bit! I sell low gen T2s, T3s, T*s, and muties if you plan to buy any new wolves. Most have both an SC and GC buyout option. I'd recommend comparing prices on the TC when buying any wolf, to make sure you're not paying more than its worth!

How can you tell that select wolves wouldn't have valuable pups? Like, you said onyx is a good keeper but won't have good offspring. Same with wraith

while they are still considered low-mid Gen, their pups would pass that long gen mark. Pups only have value if players think that their  pups will be valuable, if that makes sense!
