I figured out last year how I could get around the quest reputation system in order to access Tier 3 of all three of the faction shops and buy a few of every applicator for the event. Last year I kept it to myself but this year I thought I would share it with all of you! In case you want proof my method works, here's a screenshot I took of my hoard at the end of the event last year: _{(I got the storm and kin markings after this, but I couldn't find a screenshot of that, so you'll have to take my word for it...)} The Method The Cataclysms Event includes three factions, each of which you can do daily quests for in order to gain reputation for their faction. One quest completed for a faction gives you +10 reputation for that faction and -5 reputation for both of the other two. You can only access one faction's shop at a time-- whichever one you have the highest reputation with. As the month goes on, higher tiers of the shop are released to the public, and you need a certain number of reputation with your chosen faction in order to access them. The applicators for the event are in Tier 3 of the shop, which you need at least 500 reputation to access. The way this method works is you have to do quests up to certain thresholds in order. By doing this you can get around the imposed reputation limits. First, you need to pick one faction that you want to focus on first, and only do quests for that faction. You need to do quests until you have at least 1,100 reputation with that faction and 0 in both of the others. Then you can move on to one of the others. This will take a while, but because the higher shop tiers don't open until most of the way through the month anyway, you have plenty of time. After that, choose a second faction to focus on and then switch to doing only quests for that faction. Each quest will add +10 to your reputation with this faction and remove -5 from the one you focused on first. Do those quests until you have 750 reputation with your second faction and 775 for the first one. Then you can move on to stage three. Finally, move on to the third faction, whichever one you have not done quests for yet. Each quest done for the third faction will give you +10 reputation to it and -5 for both of the others. This is why you needed the extra points in the earlier steps-- otherwise, when you upped your reputation with this one, you would have lowered the others too far to access their shops. Do quests for the third faction until you have 500 reputation with this one, 500 reputation with the second one, and 525 reputation with the first. You now have enough in every group to access the top tiers of their shops. All you need to do to switch between faction shops is to do a couple of quests for the faction of whichever shop you want to access until its reputation is a little higher than the others. Then you can grab whatever you want, do a few quests for another, and repeat. With so many quests done, you will have more than enough of the event's currency to buy whatever you want.
