Make an item which makes a lethal mutie's lethal mutation basically just cosmetic

Here's the link to the Update. CD Creator costs 10 GC in the Grove and while it isn't a small price for a newer player it's definitely affordable by almost everyone who RO's frequently. |

Previous rebuttal posts state that this can be fixed by making this item very rare/very expensive. However, custom decors still solve this problem. After a player gets established in Wolvden, it is relatively easy to make SC and GC through selling wolves, food, amusement, etc. To put this into perspective, upgrading your den from 40 to 41 adults costs 1005 SC, and most players have much more than 40 adult slots. For them, 1000 SC is trivial, so the item would have to cost much more in order to truly be rare. But in that case, it would be more worthwhile to buy custom decor, which only cost 5-10 GC each, or to make their own custom decor for 10 GC. TL;DR: The existence of custom decor removes the need to make lethal mutations non-lethal -- just make another wolf look lethal. |

we don't know how many players that have a wolf like that would want to use and item that deletes the lethal status. (I know I wouldn't). This is entirely an option, not a mandatory item, it's not like you will have to buy/use such item if you don't want to. |

is also completely unnecessary because custom decors exist. Custom decors cost GC and as such aren't very accessible for newbies ( or the casual player who dont buy GC who also just so happened to want an adult lethal mutie or got unlucky ) |

As you said, not many people would know about it, making it inaccessible to the casual or newbie player |

The thing is, it would HAVE to either cost piles and piles of GC. Ik, that's why I decided -- to make it cost as much as an Osha and in the Racoon Shop, because an Osha removes the bad mute while keeping them alive -- while the item in question nullifies the lethality. " Well, what's the difference? " An Osha will make a lethal mutie into a normal pup ( if we just had the lethal mutation ), while this item will nullify the exact issue that interferes with the pup's ability to survive as long as a normal wolf without removing the aesthetic part of such mutation. Say a bug occurred in your program, the looks of your game/site weren't as perfect as you'd expect, but the true fatal glitch was hidden in the code, and you already know where it is located, just not the specific location Now some may say to rewrite the whole entire code of the segment which crashed the thing, but here's the thing; that rest of the code was perfectly okay. Now, actively looking inside the segment of code and finding that fatal bug to fix without harming the imperfect aesthetic of the program you're coding would be more tedious for you, yes, but sometimes the unexpected aesthetics are the most popular amongst people. ( Hence why I believe lethals were so popular) |
