The monochrome gem quickly slipped off the creature after noticing it move to sit, offering a small smile and a gentle pat to their head. She watched quietly as she scampered off again, stay nearby for once. Her head tilted as she pondered what exactly was going on with her new friend. They were a bit strange, but she wasn't entirely certain she could provide any answers to the questions she had.

"Oh, is this for me?" She asks a bit awkwardly, not too sure what to do with the slimy thing. "Thank you?" She tried to seem grateful despite being a bit confused about it. She held the strangely shaped thing in her hands, waiting to see what the other did.

That action was not something she expected. Eating, something she had learned about from her times of watching humans, was something that she now knew that gems didn't need to survive or for any beneficial means. She hesitantly took a bite as she was stared at, cringing at the strange texture of raw meat and scales. She quickly swallowed the meat, cringing at the idea that she wouldn't be able to shapeshift her body to process the food.

"Yeah, I don't really think this is for me. Would you like this one instead?" She asked a bit bashfully, holding the animal out to the other. "I appreciate it though, thank you for thinking of me."

She watched as the other gem curled up, a smile spreading across her lips at the scene. The surroundings did seem quite peaceful and nice change after the surprising events of today. Throwing her hands behind her, she leaned her weight back on her large palms and threw her eyes up towards the sky. Pulling her smooth tail into her lap, she couldn't help it as her mind drifted back to the fight.

It had been decades since she had seen any Home World forces, that had to have been who that Tiger Eye was, right? Granted she didn't provide her cut, facet, or even which court she came from, but even after years of reforming, she hadn't seen any sort of hint of the rebel faction since she darted off. The thought of someone coming after her, or more likely, gems still remaining on Earth wasn't a comforting thing to think of, the tip of her curled tail flicking anxiously. If that one foot solider had managed to track her down, the worry that her location might be public knowledge began to chime in the back of her head. As a lone uncorrupted gem, she didn't exactly have any sort of back up plan or even another location that she was familiar with.

Sighing heavily, she rolled her head to look over at her new companion. Her lips pursed into a fine line as she thought about what might happen next, worry burrowing further in her gem at the idea of dealing with whatever strange thing was going on with her friend. "Things were so much easier before the war.." She mumbled under her breath.

The darkly colored gem had been so caught up in her thoughts that she hadn't heard the sound of the lithe body shifting and shuffling closer. Only noticing once the weight had settled gently in her lap, brown eyes drifting down to confirm the feeling. She lifted a hand and stroked her fingers down the thin main of hair as she shifted the rest of her weight to her remaining hand. Blinking slowly, she exhaled heavily and slumped backwards until her back hit the ground. She should at least try to enjoy herself while she still had a few seconds to. She tucked her free arm under her head, tail draped lazily over one of the tiger eye's limb, trying to nod off to kill the time.
