The pack's leader gave me this journal because apparently, I need to get things off my chest. After all, I hold things in and don't talk to anyone or whatever, but what does he know? He doesn't know me. Stupid "KiNg". He's no king of mine. All anger and defense aside though, he's pretty cool I think. When I first arrived here over half a year ago, I was pretty nervous, but he introduced me to a few wolves my age and I started feeling a bit better. So I think I'll stay here awhile- Paradise and I have been spending a lot of time together lately and he's been teaching me important things like where to hunt and how to forage in case I ever need to, although that's what the herbalist is for, but I've still got a lot to learn. Anyway, goodbye, little journal. I'll write to you in 14 moons, I guess.

Hello, Journal, I told you I might come back- Paradise has been teaching me a lot lately. I'm not sure why he's taken such a liking to me...he never spends this much time with any of the other pups. The old man's lost it I think haha, but I'm totally fine with it. He's my favorite out of the entire pack. I've learned a lot since I came here because of him. I mean, today he taught me how to be quiet when I'm stalking prey and where to bite when I need to suffocate them. My wisdom isn't very good, but I think if I work hard enough at it, I might get to be like him one day- the smartest and wisest of the pack. Anyway, I've gotta go- he's calling me right now.

Hi...um...so, today, Paradise had a hard time getting up and out of the den...I had to let him lean on me so that he could get up and I walked right beside him as he made his way to the announcement rock. He gave his monthly speech where he discusses the herd movements and the new pups that have been born and/or who is pregnant with new pups. We sat down after his speech and he told me that he wants me to take over the pack when he... I dunno what to do- how am I supposed to lead? Will I be a good leader? What do I do if there's a battle? I know there hasn't been a battle between our pack and another before, but what if there's one in the future?? How do I deal with the pups? How do I assign roles? How do I know what wolves are best for which roles? I'm just so overwhelmed and scared...I don't want Paradise to go- he's like a father to me...I love him, ya know? Anyway...that's enough for today...I'll write again in 14 moons...

Hello again- in the past couple of weeks, there's been a lot of talk within the pack about whether or not I'm fit for the role. I've spoken to Paradise about my concerns and why I'm hesitant to be coronated...I'm scared to take the throne and lead the pack. He said he understood my doubts and fears, but that everything will be okay and that he believes in me...but that's what scares me. He believes in me so much that I'm even more terrified of failure. What if I do fail..? I know he would just tell me it's part of growing, but knowing that doesn't help me feel much better...why am I so frightened? I should take this head-on and learn all I can. Yeah, that's what I'll do. Whatever I do, I'll make sure that I make him proud!! Heh- thanks for listening, Journal. I'll return with more news soon.

Hello again, you'll never guess what happened today!! I was on a hunt today and we went after a large bull elk. I was chasing him as fast as I could but I just couldn't catch up when all of a sudden, this beautiful wolf sped past me like a bolt of lightning!! Well...maybe not that fast, but you get my point. She was so agile and quick and the way she bit into his hind leg was just so...impressive. I'm glad I got myself out of dreaming though or else I wouldn't have noticed her signal me to help pull him down. We pulled him down with the help of the other chaser in our group and the finisher did her job. We struggled to bring him home, but we did it together. After we got back to the den and ate, we sat down together and started talking- she said she'd always been in my hunting group, which was embarrassing since I'd never noticed her...but she thought it was funny that it slipped my mind. She called me a "dreamer" because she said I must've been daydreaming the whole time to not know who was in my hunting party hehe. Now when she addresses me, she says "hey Dreamer", which I don't mind. She can call me whatever she likes, but if anyone else tries to call me by that name...anywayy, haha, I'd better get going now. I'll write soon, as always. Oh, I almost forgot- her name is almost as beautiful as she is- Obituss.

Hey there...I know it's been a long time since I've written in you, but you must understand that it's been incredibly busy for me. I've now grasped the complexity and importance of our pack and how to lead and take care of it and everyone that resides within. It's a taxing thing, really- I don't see how Paradise has done it all this time, and with a smile on his face no less. He truly is remarkable. I'm really going to miss him...he can no longer stand and it breaks my heart to see him still attempt to put on a now crooked smile. He introduced me to a few wolves a couple weeks ago from a different far away pack he's been partnering with. We help each other out with things that the other may need or want if we have access to it, which is nice. The first wolf I noticed was Jingle Jangle- he seemed oddly familiar, but I couldn't quite put my paw on it. The other one was a younger pup named Sunny Star, the future leader of their pack, which surprised me. The two were also accompanied by an older wolf, Lone Star, the current leader. Lone Star and Paradise were old friends and greeted each other warmly as the other two stood and watched with Jingle glancing at me throughout their conversation. Paradise turned and looked at me and formally introduced the three of them, telling me that they would be a great ally to have and keep. Lone Star said it was nice to see me again (although I have no recollection of the first time we presumedly met) and asked how I was doing nowadays. I told him I was doing fine and about my training to become the next leader and after that, Paradise told me to show the other two around as he and Lone Star caught up, so I did. The entire time I was showing them around, Sunny was really sarcastic and seemed almost like she didn't care what was being shown to her at all, but Jingle was enthused, which I found very nice. He seemed very intrigued by the way we lived and handled things and kept asking why we didn't have sheriffs and I admitted that I didn't even know what those were. We clearly came from two different backgrounds. He mentioned that there was a pup he had become good friends with when he was younger and that they had parted ways without being able to say goodbye to each other due to Lone Star needing to get the pup to safety. He also said that there was an inside joke they used to have about deer. When he explained it to me, it sounded very familiar...that's when a memory came back and I realized that I was the pup he knew!! He and flipped out and started prancing around and jumping on each other from the excitement that we had finally found each other again. I still don't remember much about my past...maybe I should ask Lone Star since he was the one who found me...with that thought, I realized that Sunny had gone missing and must've walked away while we were reminiscing. We finally found her bragging to a few pups her age about her coat and lineage, which I found rather amusing. We stood by and watched, laughing at the pompous adolescent. When she noticed us, she got extremely flustered and yelled at us saying "WHAT'S SO FUNNY!?" which only made us laugh harder. When it was time for them to leave, I gave a long hug to a shivering Jingle- he was extremely cold, but he hid it surprisingly well for most of the duration he was here. When I hugged him, he complained about me being cold and shoved me off and we laughed some more. I said goodbye to Sunny, who was still bitter at our laughter from earlier. Then, I said goodbye to Lone Star, who gave me a hint as to where I came from- something about a portal opening..? It made no sense, so I'll probably ask Paradise about it tonight.
