The Raccoon Prince

You find the Raccoon Prince sitting on a soft pelt, surrounded by his wares, acorns and pine cones. He sells all manner of goods: fragrant herbs and flowers, jewels, scrolls, strange foods, bones, rabbit's feet, fabrics dyed by vegetable juice, and even a few trinkets stolen from human territories. You can't imagine where he got it all from. When you strike up a conversation, he explains that he brings his traveling market from pack to pack, to buy, sell and barter with the world. He's looking for his next stop. Perhaps you could take him in...?

Lore (optional): The Raccoon Prince can be strange and distant at times, but at his heart he is curious and kind. No one is quite sure where he came from. He has no name, and prefers to use the title given to him by the raccoons. He spent his youth surrounded by the little creatures. He considers them his family. They taught him the way of business, and he discovered he had a passion for it.
He began a market in his home pack, before deciding to take it on the road. There's so much out there for him to discover: wolves to bargain with, strange new goods, interesting traditions and vast landscapes.

Lore (optional): The prince had a rough greeting when he entered Sweven territory. Aaira found him and had attacked him right away, not knowing if he was friend or foe, but she didn't want to take any risks considering the circumstances with the pack. The prince didn't know what to do as he was only a yearly; just a month ago he was still reliant on his pack. Luckily, an almost pure white yearly she-wolf saved him from Aaira and defended him. Aaira wasn't pleased but listened to the white she-wolf. The white she-wolf checked to see if the prince was alright and introduced herself.

"I'm Eira."

During his stay, the prince got to know Eira and the pack pretty well. He found out about the past and saw why Aaira and Serein were on edge with him around in the beginning. Soon, the entire pack seemed to warm up to him. Serein still wasn't so trusting, but he bought something from the prince to support him and future travels.

The prince had a wonderful stay at Sweven and soon moved onto the next pack.

On a delightful spring day, the Raccoon Prince ventured into the territory of the Gray River wolves, a moment eagerly anticipated by the pack. Rieka, possessing a unique gift, had foreseen his arrival on this extraordinary day, making it a truly remarkable event for all. As soon as the Raccoon Prince arrived, Vera warmly welcomed him, showering him with affection, while Zemo diligently examined him for any signs of injury or sickness. The pack's young pups quickly grew fond of him, begging him to share riveting stories from his travels.
As his stay continued, pack members purchased several items from him to support the weary traveler and thanked him for visiting. Finally, on his last day, the pack wolves howled as he set out on his next journey. -

Lore (optional): The Racoon Prince arrived at the cliffside dens of the Winterset Pack just as the heat of summer was fading into an autumn chill. The thick-furred mountain wolves welcomed him and gave him little trouble as he set up his shop in a corner of their camp.
The Prince was settled into a small den with the pack scouts, named aptly, The Traveler's Rest. There he learned from the older scouts, Paint and Fathom, about the pack's territory and the sorts of supplies and goods that can be found there.
During his stay The Racoon Prince also made acquaintance with a younger scout who calls himself Jester. The two often found themselves talking well into the night as he shared stories of his travels and Jester shared in return his plans to move up in the pack.
The Racoon price sold and traded many items during his stay with the Winterset Pack, as the remote mountain location did not lend itself well to common trading routes. The Prince packed away his wares as the first signs of snow began to hover in the air, and not wishing to be snowed in with the pack. He set off once more early the next morning, ready for wherever his path takes him next.

Lore (optional): The Raccoon Prince continued to make his way to new packs and found himself in a large deciduous forest. Night was beginning to fall, so he kept a closer eye on his wares in case any creature tried to take something in the dark. As he made his way deeper into the woods, he noticed the vegetation had begun to glow, vivid shades of blues and purples giving off an essence-like energy. It was pretty but The Raccoon Prince felt on edge, not sure what it meant.
A loud caw broke the silence and caused The Raccoon Prince to jump, turning suddenly in the direction of the sound. A raven with feathers as black as night landed on a nearby tree branch, its silhouette illuminated by a blue glowing essence. It watched The Raccoon Prince with its glowing eyes, transfixed for a moment, before a wolf came walking into view behind the raven. The wolf's pelt appeared to have a spectral glow, his coat a muted brown.
"Are you new to these woods?" The wolf asked, his voice seeming to have a hollow echo to it.
The Raccoon Prince stood alert, not sure if this wolf was friend or foe. "I am. I'm a traveling wolf, I don't wish to cause any trouble."
The spectral wolf approached The Raccoon Prince with a happy bark. "My pack is always happy to take travelers in, why don't you come with me? My name is Mammon. This is Karaku, a lunar raven whom I've befriended," Mammon introduced. The raven cawed and landed on Mammon's back. The bird held a shiny coin up to The Raccoon Prince in its beak and The Raccoon Prince took the coin, shuffling his nose in his bag and giving the raven a small jeweled bracelet in return. Karaku, delighted, put the bracelet on one foot, fluttering happily to Mammon's head.
"He likes you," Mammon chuckled.
"I'm the Raccoon Prince, by the way. May I ask, are you truly a wolf?"
"I am immortal. I've been imbued with spectral energy that provides me with life beyond my years. The lunar energy within the forest flows through my veins and sustains me. And so as thanks I continue to protect the Starshade Pack, watching them grow and flourish over the years," Mammon explained in a tone that was both solemn and proud.
The Raccoon Prince looked on in awe for a moment and then watched Mammon's tail wag happily. "Enough about that, though! Come to the Starshade Pack! In the densest part of the forest where not even starlight shines through, that's where our home is and where the lunar energy is the most abundant. I think you'll love all the lunar items you can find around here at night, and you might even meet some cool critters like Karaku here."
Feeling excited about his time with the Starshade Pack, The Raccoon Prince happily followed Mammon into the trees, his wares slung carefully in the pouch over his back.

Lore (optional): The Raccoon Price arrived to the Northgardian Pack under rather odd circumstances. No one exactly knew where he came from, no one exactly knew what was running through his head. However, the second he showed up, he began offering the Northgardian wolves his "reputable" goods in exchange for acorns. A large portion of the pack backed away, pretending to be interested in what the traveler had to sell. True, some curious souls glowed with curiosity at the newcomer's tales, but were quickly shunned away by the pack's seasoned and well-respected hunter, Ragnar. Much to his own dismay though, his daughter and the leader allowed the shopkeeper to stay, simply for the fun of it. Ragnar's response was an annoyed huff, but refrained from questioning his pup's authority.
Arlan, one of the pack's scout, was swift to strike a conversation with the traveler, suggesting that he could buy something in exchange of tales. The Racoon Prince didn't budge about his "reasonable" prices, unfortunately. With a flick of his tail, Arlan left. On the second day, the scout brought up the exact same idea as yesterday. This time The Racoon Prince claimed that one good story was worth a discount on one of his items. That wasn't good enough for Arlan, thus he left, leaving the traveler with no customers. On the third day, The Racoon Prince finally agreed to the clever scout's idea, allowing him to run his mouth about a friendly penguin he had encountered in the Glacier. Unamused, The Racoon Prince gave him a simple rabbit pelt in return. It wasn't much, but Arlan looked satisfied and left with an enthusiastic wag of his tail.
The Racoon Prince left a few days later, assuming that the Northgardians were uninterested in his trading deals. On the other paw, part of him felt grateful for their hospitability and kindness. Therefore, he gave a freshly-caught grouse carcass to Freya, the leader. He called it an incentive, she called it a gift.
