SpoilerAcute became a part of the pack as an adolescent. He was always a trouble maker, he would steal food, scare the puppies and other adolescents or get into fights with his friends.
When he was an adult he was sent to gather food as a hunter but he would always tell the other hunters what to do and get in arguments. So after Carnelian and the other hunters constantly complained about him to the lead wolf mars, she decided to make him a scout instead and replaced him with Foxi.

Then for a long time there weren't any problems with Acute, he was a good scout and didn't get into arguments with packmates often. However this was all part of his well planned strategy, he was extremely jealous of the pack's stud, Dawn. Acute wanted to take over his place in the pack, even tho dawn was very old and would not live very long anymore Acute hated him enough to kill him...
One evening he talked to dawn:"I want to talk about something important with you but we have to talk in private, follow me.", Dawn agreed and followed him into the forest.
Acute lead him into an area where many mountain lions lived, he grinned evilly before he growled:" now that we're alone I can tell you why we had to talk... You have to die! I want to take your place but before that's possible i have to get rid off you!" Acute lowered his head before lunging at Dawn and even tho dawn was so old he was still agile enough to dodge the attack and run away. Acute chased after him and since he knew the area better than dawn he made sure that dawn would run into a dead end. Acute was able to kill him with ease but since he didn't want to get caught he had prepared a mountain lion claw to make it look like dawn had been killed by a mountain lion. Acute took the claw and ripped through Dawn's pelt and his own leg to make the mountain lion attack believable.

By the time Acute got back to the pack it has gotten dark. He walked over to Mars the lead wolf and said in a shaking voice:"I have bad news, the stalker Dawn was attacked by a mountain lion while I wanted to show him some rabbit burrows I had found on a scouting mission. I tried to chase the mountain lion away but unfortunately it was too late... "

The next day Mars announced the news to the other pack wolves and also said that Acute would become the new stud. Acute soon gained a lot of popularity and no one ever found out the truth about what happened to Dawn.

... Some of his packmates noticed that he sneaks out at night or takes longer than usual on scouting missions and then comes home smelling like wolves from other packs, some even say they noticed that he comes home with more red markings than he left.
Could he be the reason so many wolves are disappearing??
