Rost

After finding that herbs were his true calling as younger wolf, Rost decided to strike out into new territories to see what he could learn from new plants. When he stumbled upon Nynaeve exploring through the grassy plains, collecting herbs willy-nilly as she went, he felt compelled to explain why storing certain herbs together ruined potency, while others could be harmful if not diluted carefully, and some others even useless unless fertility came into question. While rambling on and on about what he knew and admitting that not every herb she had was something he was familiar with, it took him awhile to notice that she'd all the herbs at his feet and was simply sitting, waiting patiently for him to finish his spiel. Realizing he'd begun lecturing another wolf, again, he sheepishly apologized and after a few helpful hints stated he'd be on his way. Nynaeve simply smiled and asked if he'd like to join her pack as Herbalist. She explained her calling, and admitted that while she tried, plants weren't really her thing. He accepted, and it wasn't until seeing her true caring, forgiving, loving nature in action that he realized while plants were a passion...this pack is where he could find love. He will always be grateful that something as simple as Tansy led him to his mate.
