Willamenah

Nobody expected Tern to return so quickly from scouting, much less so with a pup. The wolf made a direct bee-line for Symone upon spotting her, and informed her of the boy they found alone in the taiga of all places. They would not leave him there. For a second the air was tense - and some feared Symone would cast out the pup, but her silence was broken by posing a question to her pack; "He cannot be left unattended, who of you can adopt him?" - Rhett and Witkryt answered.

Willamenah has yet to find his paws in the Stonefangs, but after the arduous journey to get here and the speed with which he was taken in, slowly but surely he is beginning to warm up to his new pack. Witkryt is a nervous but loving mother, and Rhett is a stern yet doting father, and his newest sitter, Hatua, is delighted with him.

Seems the third hunter group wasn't doing as well as Symone had thought. Catching prey is optimal, but teamwork is the lifeblood of a wolf pack, and if animosity between its members is left to breed, it will beget terrible offspring.

Now a wolf grown, Willamenah is eager to pull his weight. Eager to hunt, provide, dominate the Stonefang's terrain - but it is difficult with Casias butting heads all the time. Willamenah often just ignores him, but there are times that the amicable young wolf has spat venom the other's way, making him shut up quickly, even if not for long. He hopes that Symone's words - whatever they were - reached Casias. After all, he does miss the angsty yet tolerating youth that he hung out with before coming of age.

Céfiro is a "provisory" member of the hunting team, and Willamenah already thinks this was a good idea. Not only Hatua has someone new to guide and care for, and Colibrí a potential friend to make, but Casias was showing empathy of all things! Céfiro has a few things in common with many here, perhaps more with those who came as orphans or new vagabonds, and he hopes that will play in integrating him further, or at the very least give the tentative members someone more to relate to.

The Stonefangs mourn the loss of Witkryt, though none suffer her absence as keenly as her now widowed bond Rhett and their pup, Willamenah. The two of them have found what strength they could with each other, though the whole pack has made the effort to be there for them as much as they can. It'll be a long winter without Witkryt. To the surprise of many - or perhaps none - Casias has made it his duty to be at Willamenah's side at all times.
