Biography
Alp encountered Dawn while he was out hunting by himself because of Shale's unexpected pregnancy. She offered to join the hunt with him, and Alp thought she would be of use to the pack. As such, Polar welcomed her. Alp gets along easily with Dawn, but his mate Shale isn't so agreeable. She's suspicious about Dawn, really, that she's trying to take Alp away from her. But Alp insists that Dawn only wants to help the Shards and their hunt.
However, despite Dawn's good intentions, she proves to be difficult for Alp to work with, as she insists on taking the lead, even when she's inexperienced. Things are only heating up, as Shale has weaned her puppies and has returned from the hunt, and her opinions on Dawn have not changed.
After becoming envious of Shale and Alp's relationship and family, Dawn secretly offered herself to a stud. This is against Rime's code, as it is forbidden to breed with outsiders. It was discovered she had given birth inside the nursery, and a trial was held against her. Shale was the one who concluded that she'd bred with a stud, and Dawn was questioned. When she confirmed this, Polar determined she could not be allowed to have a pupsitter watch her pups. Their survival will depend solely on Dawn, and the mercy of Nature. Regardless, Dawn would arrogantly insist she didn't need a sitter.
As her pups, Bone and Soil, would receive inadequate from both their mother and the pack, they would run away to join North and his gang in the Tundra. Dawn doesn't care about them leaving, however, as she saw them as a burden. With Polar's decision to move Rime Pack to the Tundra in order to find her son, Dawn is the most vocal against it, and would rather stay in the mountains. She does, however, end up accompanying the pack.
The pack would eventually make it into the tundra, and Dawn would see her children once more. However, she was angry with them, berating them for abandoning the pack, when in reality, she knew they had chosen leave her behind. Because of this, Soil would make the choice to leave for good, joining a pack where she'd receive the love and attention Dawn never gave to her. Bone, meanwhile, would remain with Rime pack, although he would distance himself from his mother and find kinship with his fellow hunters. However, even as he would avoid conversing with her, Bone would unfortunately have to keep hunting with his mother, as well.
Surely enough, tensions would soon arise again between Dawn and her son Bone, after an incident that would occur while the Shards were out hunting. For a while, the Shards have struggling to make catch, and in their latest slip up, Dawn decided to pin the blame on Bone for their lack of success. Fully fed up with his mother, Bone would call Dawn out on everything she had done, saying that Soil's decision to leave the pack was her fault. But rather than listen to his criticism, Dawn would try to attack her son physically, only for Clay to intervene. Clay would end up gravely injured by Dawn, while Bone would be left with a permanent scar on his rear by his own mother.
Right now, Polar is deciding whether to remove the troublesome she-wolf from the pack. However, this decision will prove difficult, as the Shards' team relies on Dawn to finish off their prey. Ultimately, it was decided that Dawn will retire early from being a hunter as punishment.
