FIRST EVER MEL IN PACK!

Moon was walking around to patrol at the territory's borders. It was a nice and calm evening and everything was quiet except for the birds singing and the crunching of the sticks and leaves moon was walking on. She had no fear of going by herself because well, she was raised in a lab, what's there to be scared of? They continued to walk around their boarder when at one point she noticed that the forest grew darker and denser. Not being bothered by it that much they shrugged it off and continued to walk along.

The forest grew darker and darker with every minute they stepped. A couple steps later the birds stopped singing and all they could hear was the crunching of the leaves. She stopped for a minute and sniffed around cautiously. Could it be that she didn't explore her territory all the way? No, she though to herself, that can't be she always walked the same trails every evening. Unless the forest burnt down but, the leaves are still on the trees. she looked around once more but all she saw was dense forests and bushes.

Just then, there was quick rustling from the bushes to they're left. Moon quickly looked towards the bush as she narrowed their eyes. "Who's there?." She said trying to be as calm as possible in her "new surroundings". after no reply was heard they decided to investigate. Surely nothing could go wrong..right? it could have been a squirrel or even a rabbit. They thought to themselves as they cautiously walked to the bush. They slowly peaked in and....nothing. Nothing was there not even a paw print.

They raised their head studying the area behind the bush. Yes it was true someone or some thing was there before it when through the bushes. She felt a bit of uneasiness and didn't know why. Why was she feeling like this? Was she feeling..worried? scared even? "no.." she murmured to themselves in reassurance and turned to where she was before and continued walking. Of course they thought of turning back. Maybe even getting one of their pack members to accompany them. But they were too deep into the forest to turn back now. They aren't leaving without an answer.

As they continue into the forest they were getting that unnerving feeling again. but this time, they feel like their being watched. Every move they make being stared at intensely. She stopped once again but this time not moving. She heard crunching behind her that stopped right after they did. They narrowed their eyes and pretended that they were looking at something thus continuing and stopping once again. Crunch crunch crunch then silence.

They were starting to get aggravated at themselves for going this deep. She was thinking about all the different outcomes. Would they return to their pack? would they never return? would they ever be Found? That once thought lingered in their head for a minute. Found. What if this is a game for it? Surely they would of attacked them by now if they were an adult, And if this were a pack..they would of been chased out way before. They stood tall and slowly looked behind themselves. Nothing.

Nothing was there. It didn't make sense to moon. All this uneasiness for nothing? There had to be something. Just had to be-Rustle. Moon jumped at the sound and looked up. A Crow? no..a Raven. who was staring right at them. "So you're the one who was staring at me?" She chuckled to herself and signed shaking her head in foolishness. "I was cautious for just a raven." The raven cawed in protest but moon didn't care. They started to walk back but then the rustling sound happened again.

She looked back at the raven. They were on a branch above a bush. Was it trying to tell them something? She cautiously looked at the bush. She saw nothing at first but then a flick of an ear? It was to dark inside the bush to see, so she got closer. They sniffed around near the bush and the rustling stopped. She stood up in confusion and peaked in. She was greeted with black eyes that made her jump back in fear. "who are you?!" she growled cautiously. Their mind started rushing once more. Were they actually in a different pack's territory? Was this the creature that was following them the entire time? Just Watching?

Rustling came from the bushes once more as moon started to back up giving space to the thing coming out. They couldn't see well because of all the trees somewhat blocking the sunlight. There were only dapples of sunlight and if they were to get attacked they would only have to rely on the dapples to protect and see them. The Unknown thing slowly walked out, paws in the dappled light. Moon looked confused for a minute. The paws looked a lot smaller then their own. Could it be the thing that was following..was a puppy?

Moon stood up and stopped growling but making it clear they weren't letting their guard down. "come closer into the sun." They said in a serious but yet gentle tone. The puppy in question listens and steps closer. Their pure black coat shimmers a bit in the sun and their black eyes staring dead at her. She had to say she was astonished. she never met a puppy with full black eyes before, yet a full black coat. she continued.

"were you the one following me and watching me through out my journey here.?" The puppy nodded staying silent. "May I ask why you were following me?." she tilted her head to the side while watching around them incase they weren't alone. "I was leading you towards me.." The puppy said "I have been watching you for awhile..and I wanted to be found." Moon was taken back a bit. "why haven't you walked up to me?" Moon said curiously. "I like to be in the shadows."
