You figured it was time to bring your new pup out on a scouting trip, a short one, just to see your territory. You had stopped to bury a small weasel you had got along the way, and when you went back to the pond you left your pup at, she had vanished. You call out for a bit, walking along the edge. Your worry was beginning to grow into a nasty pit in your stomach until you heard her small giggle. It sounded faint, muffled almost.

You called again, only seeing a swan nestled in the grass and some ducks in the water beside you. Her head suddenly pops up from the swan's back, it's head covered in loose feathers. You approach to grab the pup, but the swan honks and starts to peck at you. The swan seemingly adopted your pup in the time you were gone. The pup finds it hilarious and decides to stay a little longer in the downy feathers.
