Lore Bits
Kaede squints as she looks up at the brightly lit sky as she pads out of her den. As her eyes adjust to the light, she surveys the pack, instantly checking if there's anything that she needs to assist with. Upon noticing things are quiet, she finds her favorite sunny spot, and goes to lie in it.

As she lies there, her beloved mate, Shuichi, comes to sit next to her. She gives him a quiet, tired smile, inviting him to lay with her. He hesitates for a brief moment, but he agrees, and lays next to her, nestling his snout quietly into the fluff on her neck.

Kaede rests her head down on her paws, noticing her children playing together. Kagehara is teaching Ieyasu how to hunt, and their oldest, Inouye, is closely watching her brothers. Kaede quietly laughs as Kagehara tries to teach his little brother, knowing he barely has any experience himself. Has Shuichi been teaching him?

Kaede shuts her eyes for a moment, enjoying the peaceful moment between her and her closest family. Her siblings are getting older, so they tend to want to be by themselves; she respects it, though she wishes she could spend more time with them before they truly go; she's always been a bit family-oriented.

It's within a few minutes that her currently peaceful rest is disturbed by Ieyasu. Kaede gives him a warning huff, though it's not meant to scare him away. It's only meant to tell him to ease up.

Shuichi lifts his head and nuzzles Kaede before standing up to take their youngest son off to play with the other pups. Kaede watches as they leave, a soft smile on her face.

She really loves her family.
