The wolves of the Poisonwoods Pack aren't known for being kind.
Their leader, Oleander, is a frightening he-wolf. His strangely-colored coat is recognizable to even the newest pack member, and the muscles that writhe beneath it even more visible.
His first mate, Lily, is nothing to snarl at either. Her startlingly blue eyes see everything that happens in the pack, from the swift dart of a hare to Lantana bullying Aconite.
The other wolves come and go, but are always welcome, as long as their strength is visible.
