As I am several decades over eighteen, there is the very distinct possibility that I am old enough to be at least half the playerbase's mother, probably. I am a coffee-guzzling fiber artist; I make small sculptures out of Merino wool, Firestar fiber and other mixed media that intentionally toe the line between cute and creepy. I am in the process of making a "line" of such creations and starting my own business. I also work from home for the Lyric Opera of Chicago, which is not half as interesting as it might sound; I work in ticket sales. No, I do not live anywhere near Illinois.
I like to think I'm pretty approachable, laid-back and extremely difficult to offend; failing that, I do believe that even though I'm one of the least interesting people alive, I am somewhat more easy to deal with than the apocalypse and slightly less hard-headed than a cybernetic donkey. No, I do not take myself too seriously and you shouldn't either, unless I'm actually being serious- which you'll be able to tell. Probably. Maybe. Who knows?
It doesn't matter at all in the grand scheme of things, but I am a polyglot who speaks English, Korean, Japanese and German. I am also very much a "gamer," with a preference for older RPGS, tactical and post-apocalyptic games. I adore all things related to horror, fantasy, psychology and dystopia, in addition to being someone who is fascinated by mythology and history, especially ancient Roman and Greek. Musically-speaking, I prefer metal in all its forms, as well as punk and industrial. I have been a practicing herbalist for around eighteen years now and when I have the time to do so, I enjoy treasure hunting, exploring ghost towns and abandoned mines.
I am pretty open-minded and willing to talk about just about anything, other than politics- while I am (very unfortunately) American, it is by birth only and I do not follow any political ideology. So, for the sake of not starting arguments about things of that nature, it is much easier and better to simply refrain from talking about them.
Another set of worthless facts about me would be: I have studied abnormal and criminal psychology, law enforcement and criminology for several years. I am very fascinated by the human mind and as far as I'm concerned, nothing is sacred when it comes to uncovering the secrets and taboos of its workings. Philosophy is something else that interests me a great deal and I can say with complete certainty that I am an existential nihilist.
While I am very much an RPer, I have not done it in several years (not after having lost contact with my previous six RP partners; one of which had been a very close online friend who I'd known for five years and was my absolute favorite RP partner.) However, I am tossing around the idea of possibly making my own RP forum again at some point in the future. No, I am not at all opposed to the thought of possibly RPing with people here either, though my RPs tend to be what most would probably call strange and dark (no, I am not at all opposed to RP with romance involved; it was one of many key aspects involved in what my favorite RP partner and I did.) However, I prefer things to be extremely plot-heavy and interesting. My favorite settings (in order) are: based on/inspired by either Stephen King's "Dark Tower" series or Hideo Kojima's "Metal Gear" series, Lovecraft's cosmic horror, anything post-apocalyptic/dystopian, cyberpunk, steampunk, or somewhat inspired by either the Suikoden series or Secret of Mana series. I do not do animal RP at all, unless an NPC or player's character has a pet that is a minor character or familiar. Nor do I RP with anyone under the age of 21. (I am between my 30's and 40's as of 2022; I find the idea of RPing with anyone who isn't at least 21 to be strange, creepy, off-putting and just plain wrong, so I refuse to do it.)
