Genesis

The first to make the Wolf Warrens her home. She's a rumor to most, a legend to few. They say that, under the cover of darkness, it isn't uncommon to see a flash of yellow in ones peripherals. What stories does she have to tell? 

Genesis was herself a mother. She felt the love and adoration for her offspring that many others were driven mad by. She, however, acknowledged that her pups were neither extraordinary nor particularly skilled. Still, she named them in hopes that the first born litter would be granted a place in the pack. Chicory and Merlot, her son and daughter. While the pack was strong and healthy, it simply wouldn't do to allow themselves to overhunt or wear thin for so many mouths. Such a lesson became obvious to her as several others from her pack gave birth. It was a painful decision, but for the betterment of the pack's bloodline, Chicory and Merlot were left to fend for themselves.

Her second litter fared about as well. She gave birth to two pups in the dead of winter. Not only was it a painful reminder of her first two, but they were also born sickly and unlikely to surviver. Having learned her lesson, she picked the most suited among them for pack life and named them Greylot, in memory of Merlot, and left the other nameless. 

Her third litter was one worth celebrating. Of the four puppies she gave birth to, three of them seemed strong and suited for pack life. With the approval of her pack, she named them Starlet, Hikaru, and Miriko. Miriko, however, was felled. 

Greylot and Starlet, however, proved to be too weak for the demanding pack life. As young adults, they were sent away. Despite having sent them away herself, the loss of her children weighed heavily on her conscience. She often leaves her den to sit at the entrance of the caves, staring at the moon as she wonders whether or not she made the right decision.

Hikaru scorns her, and their relationship is a largely difficult one. It only got more turbulent as Genesis, in her old age, chose to keep the majority of her last litter within the pack. Daughters Haze, Loona, and Aurora are treasured by the aging leader.
