You step slowly through the nettles, your ears pressed against your head at the eerie silence of the forest. That is never a good sign... You breathe in deeply and are surprised to find the scent of other wolves hits your throat. You pad forward cautiously yet curious. After hours of walking alone in the quiet, you can finally hear the sounds of life other than prey. Your ears prick with interest and you crouch low to the forest floor, crawling yourself forward inch by inch with a curiosity that is unbecoming. You see them before their scent even hits your nose, bodies slam into you and suddenly you're being held by your scruff and your back legs are pinned painfully to the ground. As you struggle to catch your breath and attempt to gain footing, a shadow crosses your eyesight. You glance up warily and a massive raven glides down to alight atop something in the shadows.
Out through the shadows emerges a small she-wolf, she could've even been mistaken for a to-be if not for the wisdom in her icy gaze. She walks forward in what feels like silence, her paws light on the forest floor with precision. She leans down slightly, indulging the raven that had been mumbling under his breath on his shoulders. The raven flaps down to land in front of you, beak poised above your head. You wince, you've felt a ravens beak before and you did not plan on feeling it again. Instead, you yelp and scramble, trying to find your footing to escape when an almost bell like laughter escapes the she-wolf. You look up to find her grinning down at you, the flowers that formed a crown in her fur shaking, and the pressure from your body is released. Upon standing you realize her stature wasn't your imagination as her second wolves move to be by her side, she is very small for a wolf. You feel your brows furrow in frustration, all of this felt like a game, and her eyes gleam at you.
"Come," she murmurs, her attitude and demeanor changing in an instant, "there is much to learn from the Pack of Trailing Feathers."
