Camp Map

Introduction

During your trek through the dense forest you slowed your pace to admire the various hues of the changing trees as autumn approaches, you bask in the subtle chilly breeze as it brushes through your pelt. Excited yips and barks in the distance pull you out of your peaceful state and as you focus your gaze ahead you can make out the form of a cloaked adult wolf and a few youngsters bounding after them, no older than five moons. The three pups freeze when they spot you and they take shelter beneath the grown wolf accompanying them. The grown wolf turns to face you and beneath their cloak you could make out cloudy blue eyes watching you with intrigue, "And who might you be?" They asked, their tone held no aggression but they stood over the pups in a protective stance. After you introduced yourself their tense form softened, "Another wandering soul." They mused, "I am Ulbhag, the Leader of the Tribe of Blind River. I was simply showing these pups the territory, they will be adolescents in a few moons." They said with a hint of a smile on their maw, the pups beneath them puffed their chests out in pride. "You may join us, if you'd like. Perhaps afterwards you can come to our camp for a rest." They offered as they continued on their walk. The pups tried to bombard you with questions, but a stern glanced from Ulbhag silenced them,

After some time, Ulbhag glanced back to see if you had been following them. Upon seeing that you had been, a content smile spread on their maw, "I've taken the place of my father, you may have heard of him. His name was Fèidh, he was a powerful and just Leader." They said, a hint of admiration in their eyes, "He and my mother have both rejoined the forests" They added as they continued to move through the forest with practiced ease until the pair arrived at an archway created by two intertwined trees, the pups darting past the two and past the archway. Ulbhag nodded up to the two trees, "The founder of the Tribe and his mate planted these two trees and intertwined them. They vowed to make this a safe haven for all wolves, no matter their shape, size, or ability." Ulbhag said as they sat beneath it, their eyes staring up at it in wonder, "It is comforting to know I will be carrying on that legacy." They hummed to themselves before they glanced at you and gave a wide-eyed blink, "Oh! Feel free to take a look around, don't mind my rambling." They chuckled as they watched you slip past the intertwined trees.
