Troublemaker pack
The Lead wolf, Jester calls the pack over to her, it is now the hour of the Moon. And therefore the time to share one of Jester's tales of mythos and legend from long ago.
"Long before you and me, there was once only four packs. Each taking control of a section of this land. However, the most sacred and special were known as the Moonpack. It is said that their fur was as pure, and bright as the Moon. Their leader was known as Lun. It is said that when Lun was born, she took the moon from the sky. Some say she was the Moon itself, and that members of Moonpack were stars stolen from the sky.
Lun was the purest out of all of Moonpack, with her fur shimmering like the brightest of stars. She ruled over the valley with a benevolent paw, and with kindness, However, the other three packs were jealous of the territory the Moonpack owned. As it was lush, and full of prey.
The three other packs, Peakpack, who reigned over the mountainside, Woodpack, who ruled over the thick, tree filled forests, and Blizzardpack, who were in charge of the frosty tundras all conspired to end the Moonpack once and for all, and steal their territory, which was the large valley in the middle.
One day, as the members of Moonpack were sleeping, they crept in, and started the attack. Their combined forces outnumbered that of the Moonpack, and they were either killed, or chased off their territory.
Lun had fought valiantly, taking out a large number of their members, but it wasn't enough. The three leaders cornered her, and brutally beat her.
With Lun's dying breaths, she cursed the three packs to turn on each other, and fight till they were no more. And with that, Lun returned to the sky, her body's bruises becoming the craters of the moon.
What she said did come to pass, as the packs could not decide who would take over Moonpack's former home, and fought each other into oblivion."
"We are but what remains of those packs, but every now and then, we might find a descendant of the Moonpack"
Jester motioned to the albino wolf, Shimo, and continued.
"Perhaps one day, the Moonpack will return to us, and maybe, just maybe, Lun as well."
There is an unfamiliar dark glint in her eyes as she finishes the sentence. I wonder what that was...?
