At last, a clairie past the trees and right at the end of it, a pile of boulders and rocks.
From the shadows, a dark pelted male emerges "Going out for a stroll? Having fun in other's territories?" He asks with a clear irony in his tone, soon being pushed aside by a, almost equally large, female. Her olive eyes stared the male down before turning to you, they weren't exactly welcoming but also weren't as mean as the male's.
"Excuse his manners, he's got quite the temper. In search of anything specific?"

You can hear the male huff, about to turns his back before hearing the distant howling "I suppose you don't want to die. So, I guess you can stay for a while." He mutters before finally leaving into the shadows, the female following him.

As you follow them through what seemed like a huge cave made by the boulders, another clairie appears. Hidden away by the trees and mountains, with a quite big river running besides a enormous aspen tree. Under the shade, more wolves.
Some watching over the youngsters, others only wanting to replenish their energy after their duties.

For a pack with such a grumpy leader, everything seems... quite harmonious.
