Puppy Parade
Entering wasn't as hard as you thought it'd be, the crack being much bigger than you originally thought. As you crawl through the first, claustrophobic pathway, it seems to open wider and wider every few steps you take. Eventually you can crouch, then stand, then jump, then leap! The roof is tall above you, it almost seems impossible to have reached all the way up there with your own two paws.
You continue wandering, and it slowly dawns on you this may be a dangerous idea. Whatever that smell is coming from, whether delicious or not, must be LARGE.
You nearly turn back, before you hear the faintest noise: other wolves!
You're caught on a decision, wondering if those wolves are the dangerous animals, or if you should try your luck. Your stomach growls, and you decide to opt for the second.
You continue, and the sound slowly becomes louder. Eventually, you find the source of the noise: a whole pack of wolves! Many are separated into multiple dens, and you even spot holes through the ceiling, revealing the sun. You're about to step foot into the main den, when you hear a low growling from behind you.
And this time, it isn't your stomach.
Not even a minute later, and you find yourself in front of a small, almost adol-sized wolf. Confused as to, one, why two scouts dragged you to an adolescent wolf, and two, where the leader of this pack is. The adol looks almost as confused as you do.
Before you can say anything, the adol begins to talk,
"Blu, Espee, I thought i mentioned to stop bringing visitors in like this?--" They mention in almost a hushed tone, it supposedly wasn't directed towards you. The two scouts apologize and wander off after a nod.
"Ehm, excuse me?" You ask, still very confused.
"Oh, yes, sorry about that. Hullo, I'm Alloy, and welcome to my den. Those two were Baby'Blu and Espiritu, my scouts; sorry about them. They're nice, they just get worried about aggressive wolves and all that..." They rambled, glancing at another wolf. They couldn't seem to focus on just you.
"Ehmm,what? Adolescent wolves don't lead packs, that's basic pack-facts." You state simply.
"They aren't an adolescent," growled an unknown voice from behind you. Only then do you realize there's a shadow from behind you, looming just over your shoulders. Your fur stands on end-"Temper, Tuesday. This is a guest," They remind. The wolf, Tuesday supposedly, huffs as they pad into view, plopping down right next to Alloy and staring at you in an almost-jealous way. You ignore this.
"I still don't get it."
"Simply put, I'm shorter than most. But I'm still an adult. . This is getting off-topic, this is my den, I'm the leader, blah blah blah, why are you here?"
After a while of explaining back and forth, Alloy let you look around- at least under supervision. They called over two wolves, and eventually only one came over. . but said one had two heads.
"Could you two please guide our guest around? Keep an eye on them please- oh! When you get there, give them a rabbit or two, their stomach is angry."
Alloy smiled at you, and off you went.
