You scramble quickly up the mountain ledge, panting heavily. You shake out your fur and perk your ears, a sudden chill running down your back and making your fur stand on end.
You turn, noticing a scent you hadn't picked up on, and are suddenly staring at a gigantic she-wolf.
You couldn't believe it, you'd thought the rumors about the massive wolves on the mountain weren't true. You back away, almost falling off the rock you'd work so hard to climb up on and are suddenly being pulled back up by your scruff.
"I do not wish to harm you, stranger," The she wolf states, her voice soft and airy.
You nod.
"Come. I will feed you and let you stay within my pack until you are on your way." And like that, the wolf turns and seems to drift away.
You wonder if you are hallucinating, but follow anyway. An odd calm falls over you as you place your paws in the she-wolfs pawsteps.
