Up into the dense rainforest range lies a glade of abandoned temples, gleaming golden and copper in the sun, no one is sure who created them and why they were abandoned but a strangely magicalΒ glowΒ resonates around the entire place.
The temples smell of wolves and something else; musk, roots, decay, but also safety. It makes you want to venture into the slanted openings covered with vines.
Although it feels rather sacred and inviting, you have a feeling someone else may not want you invading their home.
There is a large slab of stone right above the main entrance to the temple. It is trimmed with beautiful old carvings of wolves, wrapped in lichen and foliage, in the middle of it is a saying that reads:
Now this is the law of the jungle, as old and as true as the sky,
And the wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the wolf that shall break it must die.Β
As the creeper that girdles the tree trunk, the law runneth forward and back;
For the strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack.
