My Lioden account
You walk cautiously along the narrow trail. Suddenly it broadens beneath you into a medium-sized plateau with a bit of grass and a cave entrance at the side. Almost as you arrive, a pale gray wolf storms out of the cave, muttering "For the last time, I did nothing to provoke you, you - Oh!" He notices you and looks a bit surprised, but soon recovers. He asks "Do you want to see Nyx? If so, she's in the first cave on the left. I've got to go -" he flails a bit "- scouting, you know." He seems fairly nice, but embarrassed. You try to assure him that you won't tell anyone about his anger unless he wants you to, but he's already leaving.
Pride History:
No one knows when Nyx decided to gather a pack, but the first wolf to join her was Jasper the herbalist. She then gathered the lone male wolf Birchbark and the females Citrine and Oakwood. One day Birchbark was scouting when he discovered the puppy Aurora hiding in a hollow log. She was adopted by the growing pride and Birchbark was transferred to pupsitting to look after her. Nyx found and recruited Crocus, who joined Citrine and Oakwood in hunting. Soon after, she gathered Crescent, who took over the scouting role. Birchbark and Crescent had never liked each other, and seeing Crescent take over his old role made Birchbark even less friendly towards Crescent. It seemed that any day they could come to blows.
And before too long, they did. After the wolf Slate joined the pack, a seemingly innocent question on his part sparked Birchbark into action. Both Birchbark and Crescent sustained minor wounds, and Nyx was furious. She lectured them both and nearly chased Birchbark from the pack, but hesitated thanks to the pup Aurora. She'd never quite trusted anyone but Birchbark, and losing him would shatter her young heart. Nyx grudgingly pardoned Birchbark, but resolved to watch him. Life moved on. The wolf Raccoon joined the pack. And there were no more incidents.
After a little while, some of the pack members reported seeing a white wolf watching the plateau. Nyx ignored this, for the sensible reason that anyone could be passing through, or curious. Then she thought that it might be a joke, but when Pinesap joined the pack - and reported seeing that same white wolf watching him on the way there - Nyx decided to look around for this wolf. But as son as the puppy Snowflake was adopted by the pack and started to tease Aurora out of her reclusive ways, Nyx became ill and was unable to watch for the mysterious wolf that night. The wolf River arrived, and she barely acknowledged his joining. As soon as she recovered, she sat outside the cave, on one bright, clear night, and waited.
