The sound of a fluttering wings overhead signals the hurried flight of a robin. A small creek bubbles nearby, separating the maples and oaks from the hemlock and spruce. Every so often, a peeper on the bank would let out it's high pitched croak. In the distance, through the thick undergrowth, hemlock stands, and massive oaks and maples, an eerie bugle of an elk peals through the air. The trees themselves seem to whisper as a breeze ruffles your fur and there's a feeling of peace and tranquility within these hills. This is the territory of the Wapiti Run Wolves, where a unity lies between the Wolves and the local Elk herd.

The Alpha, Mac Dubh, greets you with humble hospitality, "Aye, welcome. Feel free to stay as long a' you need. It is expected that you respect our way o' life here. And please, dinnae forget to bow before any Elk you see."

As you explore the area, you realize how alive the Pack's home is. The ferns arch around the clearing in a fading emerald-to-red wall. The massive black cherry trees, now turning into vivid reds and oranges, create a canopy of shelter, the sunlight dappling the ground in warm patches. The air is filled with the joyful yaps of wolf pups playing as they chase crickets and peepers. Some of the higher ranking wolves watch from a rocky slope in the forefront of the clearing. You get a sense from the grown wolves that there is a close bond here and there is not much one would not do for another.
