Kashikoi

You pad through the thick foliage, placing your paws on a worn dirt path, made by many wolves before you. You're running your daily border check, suddenly the scent of enemy wolves crosses your path, making your nose twitch. You move to the right, your curiosity moving you towards the unfamiliar scent.  The smell becomes stronger and stronger with every paw step, you stop dead in your tracks, you can hear the deep rumble of a male wolf, he seems to be talking with some females. You decide to head back, but your paw snaps a twig, everything goes quiet, you hold your breath as you hear your heart pound. Suddenly a face pokes out of the bushes before you, almost touching your nose. Your gaze is held by a dark male wolf, you stand there unblinking for a moment. Suddenly other faces appear, they all stare at you unblinking. Two of the faces move behind you, nudging you forward, you hesitate for a moment, then decide not to fight back because you are easily outnumbered. Their scents are all different, they must be from a new pack. Before you know it you enter a large open space, surrounded by lingering trees that you swear they can touch the sky. You look around, trying not to let your fear scent be known, then the dark male wolf pads past you, he disappears into a small cave with vines hanging down, you can just barely see movement inside. Two large dark shapes move out and peer at you, one was the dark male from before, but now he stands next to a massive gray wolf, you're assuming he must be the leader of this pack, his dark blue eyes gaze at you, then he moves forward. He sniffs you, then he sits down and his eyes soften. "There is no need to be afraid, this is the pack of Kashikoi, meaning wisdom. I am Ikari, meaning Wrath, and this is my beta Black Fog." The dark male looks at you with a suspicious look on his face. "Now you know who we are, tell the other surrounding packs not to mess with us, we will take no attacks lightly." You look confused, he was so welcoming earlier, you nod your head and turn around, wanting to get out of this weird pack. You don't take their message as a threat, and keep on padding back to your pack, no way could they do any harm with such a small pack.
