Devouring Hollow

The wind passes in near silent whisp, where the babble of streams and rustling leaves serve as a constant roar. Among the dim shade of the trees, a pair of eyes appear; sharp and bright with a mix of curiosity and weariness. In another moment, another set, and another appeared until surrounded by a dozen glowering eyes glowed at your presence. It's made clear in the silence that you've wandered into an unwelcomed place.

A wolfish shape begins to form from one set of eyes that moved closer. "Speak, lost one. Perhaps we may come to an understanding..." the voice from the shape comes off as mystifying as it trailed. It was neither threatening nor welcoming. The leader was only seeking answers; to what end, who knows?
