Snakeroot Pack

As you push through the wall of spiked pine and fir needles, you emerge into a tall, dimly-lit cave on the other side. Mushrooms and moss sprout from the cracks between rocks, and water sprays you as you steadily pad by the bank of a small creek, fed by a trickle of water from further up. Wolves raise their heads at you as you pass by, some letting out small huffs from their noses at the sight of you. The soft, tangy scents of fresh death linger on your tongue as you make your way past an elk carcass, a yearling sending a grunt your way. 

"Not for you, outsider." 

They aren't very welcoming.
