Mandalorian Pack

You pad into the snowy forest, unaware of your surroundings. You are also unaware of the she-wolf stalking you in the trees. Before you catch a whiff of her surprisingly faint scent, she jumps out at you, grabs your mane with her teeth, and slams you down onto the snowy ground. She bares her teeth and raises her hackles to show her dominance. "Who are you!?" she snarls, keeping her paw on your stomach and pushing you deeper into the snow. "I am just passing through." You manage to draw out shakily. A look of remorse crosses her face and she gets off you. "If I may apologize for my actions." she whimpers. "Are you ok?" she says,  motioning to the scratch mark on your chest. "I am Katara, a scout for the Mandalorian Pack. Let me take you to our Herbalist so we can see you better," she states. 

You walk into a hut to see another she-wolf, who Katara calls Korra, mixing some herbs and salves together with vigorous concentration. She spots you and takes on a bored look upon her face. "Herbert." she says "Katara brought back another one of her lost blokes she found in the woods again." You hear a snort and a groan, and a big Kodiak bear lumbers out of a tunnel in the hut. "Follow me." Herbert booms as he trudges along the tunnel. You follow the bear into an open cavern. It is not much wider than the hut. Herbert tells you to wait, so you sit on a bed of moss, herbs, and nesting materials. You get bored, so playing with your tail helps pass the time. Just when you were about to catch it, you hear the sound of rope sliding across the rocks. The sound gets louder until Korra descends from a pulley system elevator and trots over to you. "Now, let me examine you," she states. Korra looks you up and down, examining every inch of your body. She finally comes across the gash on your chest. "oh dear," she says with a tsk tsk tsk. She immediately wanders off into a hole in the ground and jumps in. The sounds of digging and rummaging and phrases of "shit, that's not it!" and "bloody hell, where is it?" until finally you hear an "Aha!" from the hole, and she jumps out with a jawbone with a silvery ointment. She applies it to your chest and then motions for you to head up. As you ascend up the pulley elevator, she calls up to you. "Don't forget to meet our Alpha!" then you hear her mutter, "if the busy lad even has time to meet them." Then you ascend back into the hut. An Auburn, red, and grey wolf walks in at the same time. "oh!" she seems to be expecting you. She looks you up and down and nods to herself. "I'm guessing you are the fellow I'm supposed to fetch." You follow the wolf, who introduces herself as Ashe, into a cave next to the herbalist hut. Inside is a relatively average pack of wolves, Some are resting, and some are playing with the pups. Others are chowing down on what looks like the remains of a boar. One of the resting wolves looks in your direction and pads over to you. He then starts to speak. "My name is Mandalore, I'm the alpha of this pack. Please, stay as long as you like, any friend of my herbalist Korra is a friend of mine." He gives a warm chuckle, "Korra is not exactly the most friendly, and she is very picky about who she trusts. However, she has a brilliant mind, and her salves, ointments, balms, and other mixes are very fine and special indeed." You wonder about Korra, and how she is able to make such good remedies. "So," Mandalore says in his deep, warm voice. "You got something that needs doing? Something to trade? A place to stay? Or maybe you're hungry? I'm a merc too, so maybe a job for me?" He smiles. "Whenever you need any of those things, you can always come to the Mandalorians."
