Low Cloud

Whilst wandering off the mountain trail, chasing grouse and what-not, you stumble upon a lonely clearing. On the first glance it doesn't seem interesting at all, but it's the only open area you've seen since venturing into the mountain forest. The patch of land is divided from you by a running stream, pitiful in size but intimidating regardless. One hop, and your journey for a sunny resting spot could easily continue.

One hop, only if the icy gaze of a stranger across the stream would let you move. It's unclear how long the figure has been watching you. Their body language isn't hostile, if anything the position of their tail is giving off a curious, but curt aura. You feel as if the wolf ahead of you is not somebody you should bother. But it seems as if they have a different idea.

''Stranger, you've ventured rather far up the mountains.'' The sullen tone of the wolf doesn't match it's curious body language at all, and it's rather rough on your ears. ''It's rather strange for a lone wolf to bypass the scent lines of a large pack, and even more so to directly come knocking at the door.''

Upon a better look, you notice the wolf's warm and golden fur that clashes against it's blue gaze, the difference in contrast almost unsettling. While not particulary large in stature, the wolf was adorned with a domineering aura which was easily carried over by their voice. ''I'm Claude, I run under this sky with the Low Clouds, whose territory you intrude.''
