Briar Peaks

Birds chirp and flutter between the branches of the tall pine trees surrounding you. The smell of a doe pulls you forward, bushes teeming with the smell of wolves flanking the well-trodden path ahead. As you continue on the trail, you see a barrier of thorns arching over you. Ducking through the briar reveals a pack that has made it's home in the mountainside. Some wolves lie in the sunny clearing while their pups play in the cave nearby.

Your presence does not go unnoticed and soon you are faced with members of the pack. A few bark a greeting at you from afar, others approach and take in your scent before dipping their head in greeting. It seems you are welcomed here for the time being.
