Ranks of the Pack:
Alpha: Top rank! Leader of the pack! Assures task are carried out
Beta: Second in command; Most trusted ally of the Alpha. Takes over at Alpha's death
Herbalist: Third highest rank. Healer of the pack. Responsible for keeping the pack healthy. (Eligible for retirement @ age 5yrs)
Scouts: Fourth highest rank. Only 2 can hold this rank. Responsible for scouting out territory and helping scope to see if a biome is liveable ( Eligible for retirement @ age 5yrs unless no replacement, MUST RETIRE BY 7YRS)
Mentor: Typically the older wolves of the pack, they are the teachers. Ages 5yrs and up.
Pupsitters: Responsible for watching over the pups of the pack. (Retirement at age 7.)
Hunters: Responsible for providing the food for the pack. Anyone can be a hunter. (Retirement at age 7.)
Pups/Adol: Youngest of the packs. Once weaned, pups must start training. Wolves 6 months and up, otherwise known as adols may join hunters, scouts, pupsitters and herbalist in their day to day activities to gain experience in said positions.
Lore: Abandon as a pup, Nightmoon, formerly known as Night, never knew a pack of her own. After a dream was sent to her, Night set off on a quest to find a home and begin a pack to take in any and all wolves for how long they see fit. Along with her sole companion met as a pup, Frost, Night began her quest. Along the way she met four others who became her ranks. Two scouts to explore lands near and far, a wolf specially gifted with knowledge of plants, and a quiet she to watch over the pups, the future of their pack. As their pack grows, will they survive?
Lore: Amethyst's Reign
Amethyst returned from her adventures early to report to her adopted mother, Nightmoon, her stories thus far. While resting for a few months, Nightmoon suddenly passed away and it was now time for Amethyst to step up. With tear filled eyes, but also determination, she took her place under the full moon as Alpha. In honor of her adopted mother, she appointed Magenta, Nightmoon's birth daughter as her beta and moved the pack to the taiga longing for the open sky as opposed to the trees overhead. Feeling closer to the moon, some of the tension fell from her shoulders as she sent her new scouts out to explore the areas around. Now is her time. Will she do the pack proud? With a song sent to the moon, and her adopted mother above, Amethyst is ready.
