Dubhar Pack

The shadows part as the sun wanes, stretching past the boughs of oak and maple that litter the forest. From the darkness comes the shifting creatures of the night, basking in the luminescence of the moon before them. Leaves rustle and shake in anticipation as the hunt begins below them. Eyes gleam in the black nothingness. Muscles shift under thick, furry pelts. The crickets cease their cacophony as the wolves of Tall Shadow begin their call—and their hunger for survival beckons them ever onward.

A nomadic group, the Dubhar Pack thrives in the cool embrace of their deciduous forest home. Founded by the first shadow, Cormag, the name was derived from the shifting shadows that he observed upon first stepping paw in his new territory. He watched them stretch and grow as the sun set on that first day and decided from that moment on that his future pack would embody that very philosophy: "The shadows lengthen with the sun and grow powerful when darkness comes." Where others saw darkness-dwellers as shifty and selfish, Cormag saw an advantage in embracing the art of stealth and numbers. While by no means evil, the Dubhar Pack holds true to this belief and their respect for the spirits that inhabit their forest home. To them, only the strong have any hope of surviving—and that belief is paramount.
