~Key~

~Pack Rules~
โ All Leaders must come from the Deadmaw line. The heir must be a child or grandchild of the retiring Lead.
โ Heirs of the throne are picked to be Lead based on multiple factors, judged by the Deadmaw Court before being officially selected by the retiring Lead.
โ If the Lead is away from the pack, all members must obey any orders that come from the wolf next highest in power. This wolf must be either a Lead's mate or the chosen Beta.
โ Wolves can pair and mate within the pack, but the mated pair must NOT be related. Inbreeding is strictly NOT ALLOWED.
โ If a pack member desires to mate from outside the pack, the potential mate must meet the desired requirements of the Deadmaw Clan.
โ Pups must be watched over at all times! Until reaching adolescence, no pups shall go unprotected.
โ All clan members must be kept well fed and healthy, excluding the punished.
โ Treacherous members are punished with starvation and isolation. If a major pack rule is violated in an extreme fashion, or if a member is to try and defy the clan or harm the Lead, they are named a punished member and forced from the clan or killed.
โ All newcomers go through a 3 day trial. If the clan does not approve of their presence, they are chased.
โ Large clan numbers mean more problems. If the clan grows too many in number, wolves of adolescence and up are at risk of being driven out by the pack.
~Clan Ranks~
Lead
This wolf is the Alpha, and of most dominance and power over the pack. This wolf is of Osric Deadmaw's bloodline. The Lead is in charge of making every decision final, and holds the most respect/loyalty. They serve 8 years as Clan Leader before stepping down from the throne to hand it off to their chosen heir. They hold every meeting between the Council and other packs, and are also in charge of territory changes and rank delegations.
Lead's Mate
This wolf is pair bonded to the Lead, and holds the next highest power within the pack. They are in charge when the Lead has an extended absence, and oftentimes (although not always) takes part in furthering the Deadmaw line.
Beta
This wolf is 2nd to 3rd in power, based upon if the Lead has a mate or not. If the Lead does not have a pair bond, the Beta is next highest in power. Oftentimes, the Beta is a hunter, but this may not always be the case. The Beta is a lifelong companion to the Lead that appointed them, and holds out their position until death, even if a new Lead is chosen during their time of service.
Deadmaw Court
This group is made up of four members of the Clan, typically the eldest or most experienced of each duty/position.
Herbalist
This wolf specializes in mixing and making medicines. They are often well studied and spend majority, if not all of their lives observing and constantly learning new things. They are responsible for medicinally caring for Deadmaw, and anyone under the Clan's protection
Hunters
These wolves dedicate a large portion of their lives to feeding the pack. They are the Clan's meal providers, and bring prey back to the nesting mothers and pups
Scouts
These wolves travel long distances from Deadmaw's territory, often alone, in search of potential outside threats and territory. They also serve as spies, but only when necessary. These wolves are often very solitary in nature and have nomading experience.
