Pack Ranks

ALPHA
The alpha has all of the pack under their control. They send out hunting patrols, manage problems, choose pups' ranks and can denominate or remove any wolf from a rank. A pack cannot chase away a bad alpha; they must endure it or simply disperse.
Pack's Alphas (In Order): Noelle

BETA
The beta is the second in command of the pack. They fear nobody but the alpha and must obey their orders. Betas will take over an alpha's spot if they are gone and will do the same duties as them, but a little less. The betas are always the ones who lead a pack hunt; it is up to them if they will flourish or starve. Betas are usually the alpha's mate if of opposite sex.
Pack's Betas (In Order): Morrowseer

DELTA
The delta is the third wolf in command, having as much responsibility as the beta. If a wolf has been named a delta, they must take that responsibility to heart - as a wolf can always get removed from the delta rank if the majority of the pack agrees. Deltas are also lead fighters, leading the pack to battle and being responsible for making sure all of them leave the fight alive.
Pack's Deltas (In Order):

SENTINEL
There should be four sentinels in a pack, all of them being mated pair bonds. The sentinels and mates between them are chosen and monitored by the alpha. Sentinels exist to take over the alpha, beta or delta's places in case something happens to them. Sentinels can also hunt or scout - that is one's choice. Messing with a sentinel is messing with the alpha themselves, as they are very respected in the pack and must not be turned down.

THETA
The thetas are the pack's healers; responsible for foraging herbs, healing packmates and understanding messages sent from deceased packmembers. A theta must be delicate, wise and well-known by the pack in order to earn the role. If a wolf doesn't meet these requirements, they cannot become thetas at all. There is one theta per pack.

ZETA
The zeta is the main scout of the pack; having the habit and duty to find out new lands and chase away possible danger for the pack's pups. There can only be one zeta per pack, and if the pack's zeta dies or disperses, a young wolf the previous zeta was looking to should take over their role.

KAPPA
The pack's kappa is the lead hunter - they are responsible for leading the hunting patrol through the steps of a successful hunt if the beta isn't available for the work. Kappas are well-respected toward the pack, and the alpha usually trusts that the kappa will help the pack to flourish.

HUNTER
The pack's hunters are wolves responsible for going out and bringing back dead animals for the pack to feed on. Without the hunters, the pack would slowly fall down - wolf per wolf. If a hunter can't hunt because of physical injuries, they will temporarily retire until they can get back to work. If a wolf gets caught lying, they will be demoted to the omega rank.

SCOUT
The pack's scouts are wolves responsible for going out and exploring far away lands in order to determine if they are safe or not for pack traveling. It is because of scouts that the packs have a territory of their own. If a scout can't patrol because of physical injuries, they will temporarily retire until they can get back to work. If a wolf gets caught lying, they will be demoted to the omega rank.

PUPINUS
Pupinuses are wolves who care for the pack's young puppies and ensure they are safe and healthy until they are ready for training. Pupinuses are essential for a wolf pack to succeed, since other wolves can't always watch the pups as they have duties. There can be multiple pupinuses per pack to ensure the pups' safety.

GAMMA
Gammas are the elderly or early retired members of the pack. They are wolves that can no longer serve their packs and are now resting; depending on their packmates to feed them before it's their time to eternally rest. Gammas who retired early can no longer return to their previous ranks, as it was their choice to retire.

OMEGA
Omegas are the lowest ranking wolves within the pack. They don't do anything to contribute with the pack and are used by higher ranked packmembers to relieve stress - an omega has the rights to challenge another wolf for their rank, but it's unlikely that they'll succeed as they have little to no training experience. If a packmate becomes untrusted, they will become an omega, while the previous omega will take the untrustworthy wolf's role. If the pack earns that wolf's trust again, the previous omega will become an omega again and the now trusted wolf will return to their previous rank position.
