Malpheus was born into the pack and treated by Xirian as one of his own offspring. The young wolf had other plans, though — he decided to exploit Xirian's soft heart and assassinated him with the help of his siblings, Artemis and Mala, taking over the leadership.

During one of many of his explore trips, Malpheus found a strange wolf in the Desert. He was locked in a cage by the humans, observing older wolf carefully as he slaughtered poachers. Malpheus decided to let the wolf be free and take shelter in his pack; even though he had his reservations, seeing how the strange wolf, calling himself Virras, stole all the gold from the dead bodies of people who captured him, they grew to be great friends. Malpheus put trust in Virras, putting the pack in his charge, although he always stayed around, immortalised by the spirits to keep watch over his pack.

Virras was watching Paladin from far away; he saw his position in a pack they had an alliance with and he couldnt hold back the feeling of admiration for the young wolf. When he saw that the leader of Paladin's pack was looking to rehome him for various reasons, he couldn't resist — he unburied his treasures and convinced the allied leader to let Paladin stay in Desolation Unknown. The admiration and love for young wolf soon became destructive for Virras, though; he worked hard to impress Paladin, spoiled him to no end and used magic to prolong young wolf's life at the cost of his own. His body couldn't withstand the harsh treatment he was giving it anymore, and he passed prematurely, leaving his pack in the paws of Paladin.

No project cave or anything; I just want to breed Chestnut Brown, Copper, Honey and Mercury onto Muted Dark T3s! Especially Chestnut Brown, since they're one of my favourite eyes in the game!
