Pack roles

Alpha Male

The Alpha Male is the most dominant wolf in the pack, he is at the top of the hierarchy.
His word is law, and anyone who questions him will face immediate correction by the Lead Female.
He chooses when and where the pack will carry out their duties.

Alpha Female

If the alpha male chooses a mate, she will become the alpha female.
She holds great power within the pack, and is the most dominant female.
Her duty is to choose which role the pups will be once they grow up
She is in control of pup training and mentoring.
The alpha Female will correct any pack members who do not obey.

Herbalist (Beta)

The Herbalist can be any Female wolf.
Herbalists are the second highest in the pack Hierarchy.
She is held in high respect for treating the sick and wounded, and is bestowed her own den to work in.

Scouts (Delta's)

Scouts are next in the hierarchy. They are headstrong, and rarely messed with by the other ranks

The leader will choose two of the strongest wolves in the pack to be scouts.
Scouts can be male or female, however males are preferred.

Mentors (Gammas)

Gammas are the oldest and wisest of the pack, they hold powerful insight and are held in high respect by all ranks, despite the hierarchy. Their job is to pass on their knowledge to younger generations and ensure that the pups can become strong enough to survive in the wild. They are the main teachers and work alongside other subordinates to teach the pups.

Hunters

Hunters are among the more submissive ranks; They are third to lowest in the hierarchy.
However, they can be the most aggressive wolves among the ranks and are known for tormenting the lower ranking wolves.

Hunters will consist of only male wolves
Each wolf will be assigned in the hunting parties that match their own personalities.
There will be 3 wolves in each patrol.

Patrol 1: Aggressive
Patrol 2: Stoic
Patrol 3: Romantic
Patrol 4: Friendly


Stalkers: Smarts and Wisdom
Chaser: Speed and Agility
Finishers: Strength + any other stat

Pupsitters:

Pupsitters are one of the most submissive among the ranks; they are second to last in the hierarchy and are often picked on by hunters and other high-ranking wolves.

Pupsitters will consist of only female wolves.
if nursing, each mother is expected to protect her own litter.
this can lead to pupsitters choosing to protect only the strongest/most valuable pups, leaving the rest to die.

Omegas

Omegas are young wolves who do not attain a role, either from being too weak or too sickly. they are the most submissive wolves in the pack and are the lowest rank in the hierarchy.
They are the weakest wolves, and the main targets for aggression by all ranks.
