Kakoku | Male (he/him) | Bernese Mountain Dog | Scout | Location: Abandoned Neighborhood | Mentions: Runa

She must think I'm a loner... Kakoku thought to himself. He nodded. "The pellets are what the humans fed us. It's not good at all but the only other things I got were table scraps, like chicken and beef."

He slowly walked towards the female after she gave him a small smile. Maybe she was willing to be friends? Koku didn't think his alpha would mind if he had friends outside of the pack as long as they weren't a threat, right?

Runa | Female (she/her) | Maned wolf | Loner | Location: Abandoned neighborhood | Mentions: Kakoku

She was shocked with the new information she gained. “Humans used to feed their companions that?”, the female said with surprise, “I would have starved a long time ago if I were fed that everyday!”. Runa was shocked that domestic canines weren’t used to eating meat as their principal meals every single day, maybe that was the reason they struggled with hunting. “I’m thankful for being a wild creature then”, the female maned wolf said with a chuckle.

The wild canine’s right ear twitched with the sound of a small sized quicky heart beating not so far away, she guessed that it was probably from a small critter hiding in some house’s  yard. Runa wondered if she should catch the unaware prey or bring the bag of dog food to the dog. “I can give the critter to him first and give the pellets after so he can eat it later”, she thought with determination. “I heard a prey”, the female maned wolf informed the other canine with a smile, “I’m going to catch it for you”.

Runa followed the sound of small fast paced heartbeats, making sure to crouch a little to be more silent. She eventually found herself in front of a yard, hiding behind a bush, with a hare eating some patches of grass. It looked like it hadn’t a care in the world and wasn’t worried with its surroundings. The female maned wolf waited for some seconds, waiting for the perfect moment to pounce on the prey, and jumped at the critter. Runa managed to grab the hare’ neck with her jaws and it broke easily under the strength of her teeth.

Once she was sure that it had died she trotted happily to where the dog was located, the loose blanket on her neck swayed gently with the cold wind. She dropped the hare in front of the Bernese mountain dog, a smile on her snout with some proudness on her eyes after showing she can localize and get a critter easily.

“You can eat this one, and if you want to keep it to eat later I can help you bring the dry pellets to the place you're staying if you have one”.

Kakoku | Male (he/him) | Bernese Mountain Dog | Scout | Location: Abandoned Neighborhood | Mentions: Runa

Kakoku sniffed the rabbit, and his tail began to move slightly. How generous this canine was! However, when he mentioned helping him bring back the pellets to wherever he was staying, he shook his head.

"I'm sure the bag isn't that heavy... I don't want to detriment you too much. It's getting colder and I'm sure you yourself must get to looking for your own place. I'll make sure to visit, though." He added, not wanting it to seem like he just wanted to get away from her.

Runa | Female (she/her) | Maned wolf | Loner | Location: Abandoned neighborhood | Mentions: Kakoku

The tall canine smiled and nodded her head, the other canine was right. “It’s true, it’s getting colder since winter is coming soon”, the female maned wolf agreed. She guessed that she would need to leave to claim a temporary den soon, so she could survive the winter and it's freezing winds. The canine with long lanky legs pointed at a house with her snout and informed the other that the pellets were there, and that he would only need to walk straight through a hallway and would find the pellets by its scent.

She bid farewell and turned around to leave, she stopped and looked at the male. “I heard that a dog pack was made, I don’t know where their territory is exactly but be careful when walking around”, the female warned him. The only intention of the warning was to keep him from danger since messing with packs is dangerous. A loner facing a pack would be easily killed.

She turned her gaze away from the male and started to walk through the streets, fading of the dog’s vision with the increasing distance.

Kakoku | Male (he/him) | Bernese Mountain Dog | Scout | Location: Abandoned Neighborhood > Camp | Mentions: Runa

Kakoku, relieved that she hadn't asked any more questions about where he was residing, let out a gentle sigh. "Good luck finding a shelter, and thanks for the information!" He called after her disappearing figure before padding into the house.

The bag of pellets was not big at all to Koku, and he picked it up, as well as the hare the canine had caught for him by the ears. He walked back to his camp, taking his time and keeping his eye out for any other loners, but didn't see any.

When he got back to the camp, he settled the hare in a small dip under a large tree and put the bag of pellets beside his alpha's den. He wanted him to decide what to do with the bland "food".
