He looked at Severus and smiled. "Rexy? Wow, that's a new one." He laughed softly and bit into the fish. Between mouthfuls he thanked Severus. 'They are all so nice. I am glad to have such good friends now. They saved me many times ad I owe them my life.' Ralphie He had taken a walk in the forest and returned with some herbs for his own wounds. 'Stupid runt. Thanks to him I'm sore and have to treat some scars...amazing.' He growled. |

His mood dropped and his ear pinned back. A look of sadness in his eyes was clear. "Well, he has always hated me and thought of me as useless since...since I am the one who got our parents and sisters killed..." His voice trailed off and he looked like he was about to cry but he shook his head and continued, changing the subject. "Vixeni took me fishing and I caught a fish on my first try. Ralphie saw me and got angry since he doesn't want me to be good anything, he says I am an omega and should be weak and frail." |

Severus hesitated and walked slowly toward Rex. He hesitated again and licked his face gently. "You're not a runt." He said softly. "And you're not weak." He said firmly. |

He looked up at Severus and his smile return, though the tears stayed in his eyes. "Thanks. I know I'm not...but I just hold so much guilt. It's hard to not think of myself as a useless mistake." He sat up and gave a weak grin before looking around. "Oh and...um...could you help me to replace the bandaging and medicine on my wounds?" |

Severus dropped the subject and smiled faintly before speaking. "Oh! O f course!" He said quickly and started unwrapping the leaf bandages on Rex's wounds. He opened a small pouch and dug around a bit. He pulled out a small, odd, squishy thing and set it next to him. He then turned to a different pouch and grabbed some new bandages and a tiny, wooden bottle, which contained a small amount of 'wound wash', as the owl who gave it to him called it. "This might sting a bit." He said calmly to Rex. He steadied the bottle and poured a bit of the stuff onto the spongy thing. He picked it up with his mouth and put it on Rex's wounds, holding it there with his paw. He removed his paw, grabbed the sponge, and quickly and expertly wrapped Rex's injuries. |
